Ok so day one of weight loss not so good.

Started out fine. Went to gym bright and early and worked out for 1 hr 15 minutes.

Then went to make my first weight loss shake that doc gave me and YUCH. Maybe it was because it said mix iwth cold milk and I did steamed non fat milk from starbucks buet YUCH. So much for decreasing hunger I could barely swallow the stuff so of course I did not finish

Instead someone dropped by office with pastries for a meeting so I did not want to be rude so i had 1/2 chocolate croissant.

Then since I blew it I went for sushi for lunch. Followed by mochi ice cream.

I was bad bad bad today.

So much for GO Team Go Curious, need louder cheer to fight the hunger pains.

There is always tomorrow as the first day of the rest of my life right?

you ARE off to a good start shelley!!

the exercise helped speed up your metabolism. one step at a time.

oh..btw...all the weight loss and protien shakes are to made with cold liwuuids..unless they specify. the heat will break down the protiens used. usually whey. nasty huh?

as cold as possible, even put in the blender with the cold liquid and some ice. adding some frozen fruit too. yum.

baby steps sweety. you can do it!!

Thanks Curious!

I fell off wagon but tonight I will try to make shake for dinner with cold milk. The hot milk just lumped it up. It was terrible.

Mmmmmmm frozen fruit great suggestion!

Ok trying again

Thumbs up Shelly~

Eat frozen grapes or just plain. They help to satisfiy the sugar intake. I am eating a few tonight. I must get on the treadmill. It is so easy to put it off. I need music.

I better say Welcome to our forum. Oh, I am Billie. Drop by the "check in" each day and you can meet the gang. Not to many stopped by today. I think they are hiding somewhere. If you have any idea's let us know.
Blessings,
Billie

Smile

hi shelly!
nice to meet you.
I like the slim fast optima shakes...fewer sugars than a normal slimfast.
And helps curb the appitite for me that is.
Great job exercising!!!!!!
Don't be surprised if this increases your appitite...so plan on that ....sorry to tell you this...I felt hungry every 3 hours when I was exercising in the fall...
I munched on nuts and cheese sticks inbetween meals...
welcome again!
bizi
p.s. I am going to drink 8 glasses of water tomorrow!

Default Sorry I'm Late - As Usual

Had a very busy day but that's a different story. . .

Welcome Shelly! So nice to have you here, even on a bad day we love to hear from each other. Or, I should say, especially on bad days we like to hear from each other and give the support we need.

Wish Jan wasn't so busy 'cause we do need some cheers! I'm on Day 9 of my diet and hanging by a thread. If Weight Watchers recipes were not so good, I don't think I could do this! Oh, and fat free sugar free pudding made with skim milk. YUMMY!

Tomorrow is another day - good luck everyone .

Love ya!

Hi all!

Nancy, I like the idea of sugar free pudding but I'm beginning to wonder if I'm not lactose intolerent. It maybe that whenever I had too much diary products i get diarrhea. I would really hate to give up cheese and such.

Shelly, can you make those shakes with water?

Hi guys,

Thanks so much the awesome welcome nancy, Befuddled, Bizi and Billie! So nice to meet all of you, and thanks for letting me join in.

Doing good today. Started with a yogurt and drinking water water water. I am detemined today. Good luck everyone.

Befuddled...I read the box and it says cold milk, but I will try one with water and see how it tastes and let you know. They are called Nutrimed.

Bizi...I love nuts and cheese! I went out last night and bought walnuts and almonds. Hear that walnuts are good for those Omega - 6 and since I don't eat fish I need some.

Frozen grapes...Billie I love that idea because I love grapes. I must try.

I gained my weight from Lyrica for TOS and am determined to lose it. Have closet of clothes that do not fit....

Joined gym and working out with PT trainer twice a week. May try Pilates to strengthen core. Having hard time staying motivated but with you guys maybe I will.

Thanks all, hope you all have a good day!
