Good morning, I am kinda scared today...looking over my shoulder...keeping the blinds closed....doors locked. So afraid the diet police Judy and AMN are gonna come to my house and get me! Plan on cleaning my cabinets this morning...getting rid of all junk that appeals to me. Now ordinarly I would eat all I cleaned out, not today! I will destroy it!
Today is the first day of the rest of my life. I will try to eat right and on the lo-carb plan. HUGS TO THE DIET POLICE! froggie Last edited by froglady; 01-28-2008 at 11:40 AM. |

LOL, Froggie, you are totally crackuppin' me! I'm not the diet police, I'm against all diets! I support a lifetime habit of making the best possible choices about what I put onto my gut via my mouth!

froggie, i 2nd cindy,
diets never work. it's something of a habit you get into you make choices about food. i hit triggers down the road of my day all the time. i might drive by dairy queen (which is right across the street from my apt! oh my!). and then i try to think my way out of temptation. i like to visualize success. visualize feeling good in my clothes. buying new clothes, anything you pick for yourself. a lowered BP. no diabetes. good health, coming off some meds.... then after you toss all that stuff into the trash plan on going shopping to replace it will all healthy stuff (ON A FULL STOMACH OF COURSE). shopping on a full stomach will help you make better choices. for me, i had regular food. just less of it. portion control was big for me. for a tx try getting those sugar free popsicles. they're good and low calorie. gosh, GOOD LUCK! YOU CAN DO THIS. YES!

Yall are right...I usually call what I do, my plan. When I follow the lo-carb plan it works great. I don't go on the first stage of South Beach ...I take a version of my own that works for me. Have to have some guide line due to not being able to exercise at all and sit all day long. UGH Hard to lose but easier with lo-carb. I am a carbo-hollic. One bite of a carb and I am off and wanting more. Of course that is a starchy junk carbo...not a complex.
Oh yessss you are "eating police". Still afraid you will come take away all my junk! LOL Ribbbbbiiiiiitttttt! Nancy, Iv'e got sugarfree popsciles...I reach beyond them and take something fattening instead. Have nice apples, good veggies...yet I reach for the wrong food! sigh. Bet I can quote all eating plans by heart...ha...now doing it is my problem. I have probably lost 2,000 lbs in the past only to let myself go right back to old habbits. I use pain, stress, and any other excuse to tell myself why I can't cut back my eating and eat healthy. I just hope that I can get the right mindset and start thinking healthy instead of chocolate, Ritz crackers, you-name-it. Goodness to be able to pass Dairy Queen must be wonderful and what will power it takes to do that. froggie |

Dear Froggie,
they make individual bags of pop corn that only have 100 calories. very satisfying to munch for that long as a snack....although they are not really low carb but better than candy sweets. Alfffe I am so happy that you guys are taking that trip to sedona and walnut canyon!!!!!!! let me know how it goes. bizi

Hello all! Last night I had raisin bran for dinner , no scale this week!
Last night, when starvation hit, I had the one chocolate in the house and enjoyed it!! Scarsdale diet was the only one I tried and did lose 10 lbs, years ago. Now it's just common sense. Carbs and crunchy food are my weakness, stress?? This 40 lbs didn't get packed on in 1 day and I know I won't get rid of it so easily. Winter is rough, locked in -geez what else is there to do, housework for me now. Take care all!

Started this week by shopping today, spending most of my money in the veggie section as usual. Had a horrible weekend - eating wise. My daughter had not one but two birthday parties!! I'm motivated this week and I wish everyone luck to have a nice and healthy week.
