Tonight's selections for my nostalgic ears... bit of a thematic trend, to these, yes:

Shooting Star -- Bad Company again... hit a streak, I guess, lol, but I totally reverb to this song. Get chills in parts.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kEDa6bXnA8

Jukebox Hero -- Foreigner.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7tzi8wkYgI

And one from my childhood... I have a memory of riding a tricycle around the living room, singing along to this:
Pop Star -- Cat Stevens
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRubdDwlHrM

And now I'm listenin to Kashmir to soothe my soul. Kashmir always hits the spot. It could probably bring me back from the dead.

Default Great choices.

Waves,

I needed to look up Pop Star. He was so young when he wrote it!

Oh Yeah to the Led Zepplin man!!
(I sort of ran away from home to that song. My brother put stairway to heaven lyrics in the lunch I packed for the bus. I found the lyrics after I was a few states away.)

25 or 6 to 4- Chicago

Should have tried to do some more
Twenty five or six to four

Feeling like I ought to sleep
Spinning room is sinking deep
Searching for something to say
Waiting for the break of day
Twenty five or six to four
Twenty five or six to four
I have never been 100% sure what this means because it could go more than one way.

Kids today express time differently.
When I say at "fifteen minutes till we will do this . . "
(I get vauge on purpose because it is too much trouble to figure out what hour has ALREADY passed. )
They say something like this to me: "you mean at 2:45?"

Yeah. That is exactly what I meant because it is the same thing.

I find that weird. What you say isnt' at all ambiguous, whatever time it is.

When I am out and about, if I forget my phone, I can end up really clueless about the time. I'll ask someone, and get "five till" as a response, which would normally be adequate. Then I seem to blow their minds when I ask five till what, especially if I hazard a guess... and guess wrong, or toss several guesses at them (multiple choice: five till one? two? three?)

Time --- Pink Floyd

Caution earbud/phone wearers:

In the intro, the treble overtones about blew my eardrums at medium volume. I don't remember the vinyl doing this. Maybe it's from when they remasterd, or it's crappy audio encryption. My EQ wouldn't even dampen those tones ... too high.

I always have my watch. I keep it with my keys and phone.

Young people where I am do not depend on watches because they have phones. Some do buy watches for fashion so they do not look at them.

That is funny. I agree that 5 till nothing is not helpful when you are out and about.

It is loud.
Since I do not know REM much, I looked up the line.
That line comes from the beginning of Henry David Thoreau's Walden . . . cool.
