Default Axl and Slash

Mark,

I suppose the music ballads probably high lighted his voice and were boring as heck for Slash -- and the fans.

Imagine if they could have worked out their differences (and Axl gotten properly medicated)? We could have had a few more amazing albums from them.

When band mates break up over creative differences -- there is no way to fix it. They probably have a deep connection to each other but . . .like a divorce . .. they never want to deal with each other again.

It does? I found a similar citation from Thoreau's Walden (which I had to look up), but the lines are not identical:

Roger Waters: "Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way"

Henry David Thoreau: "The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation."

I also found an essay comparing the social views of the two, but nothing to indicate Waters was referencing Thoreau?

Waves,

You are exactly right. Their social views are not the same.
And Walters is a better thinker than Thoreau (who wrote garbage).
I made the comment only because I was digging through the lyrics.

I believe that they both were using versions of quotes/ statements of people who came before them.
