I applaud those of you doing well with your relationships with food and those of you who are encouraging yourselves to improve your relationships with food.

Last month, I started at a new Weight Watchers in my new neighborhood and like the leader.
Wednesday night she brought in 6 fruits /veggies and asked people how then might serve / good them. Then the group discussed.

(This is better than the old WW group one town away where the leader talked about fake foods, low fat, low sugar, . . . and how to survive in restaurants. Granted, her many people eat out and need skills for restaurant eating, but that was tiresome to me.)

I liked the emphasis on real food.
I've been cooking pots of beans for my lunches and such and occasionally hubby makes up a dish out of them.
My bed time treat the past two nights is half cheese sandwich with toasted millet bread.

I have never had millot bread...how is it different than regular bread...I used tofeed my parakeets millot...on a stick little tiny seeds. Wonder if that is the same thing? happy that you like the new group leader.:)

I have been eating a lot of cottage cheese, watermelon and then
peanut butter on potato bread.

Potato bread is my new bread love right now.

I am also eating other things, but these have been good for me lately.

I also usually eat something in the line of a meat, sometimes a dessert.

Tonight, Derrick used the rest of his applebee's card. And we had a great
meal. After my steak was taken back. Then it was free. Derrick had
riblet basket, but the potato was his favorite for some reason today.

I have been enjoying my son.

Dear Bizi

fried pickle?? :D howabout some garlic ice-cream with that? :D;)

i hope you feel better soon.

Dear Donna

those are really good meals. did you know that peanut butter and bread gives you the same quality of protein you'd get out of meat. (a legume + a grain is a standard vegetarian formula for obtaining the full range of essential amino acids.) peanuts also have fiber that meat doesn't. what you don't get are the saturated fats and cholesterol you would get from meat. :D

~ waves ~ who had hamburger last night and for lunch :o;)

Dmom3005 07-12-2010 02:35 PM

Thanks Waves

No I didn't realize that I do know that meat is hard sometimes for
me too eat. And it also is something I just don't always enjoy.

But I have always had a favorite thing for peanut butter. And
I'm supposed to eat nuts. So sometimes I just tell myself the
peanut butter is close to it.

Back on my diet today....subway for lunch, cajun catfish, steamed brocolli, small salad for dinner.
Going to the gym again for my usual workout, not my monster workout like yesterday....
you are doing a good job Donna! I love peanut butter too!
I eat it right out of the jar with a spoon!;)

Bizi
I was just thinking, are you staying in a hotel in Indiana. If so then
you can stay at one with a nice fitness room. Or some of the hotels
give you tickets to gyms.

I have been staying at one that uses a gym. Just don't have time
this time.
