Now that Mari mentioned them, beans are pretty good... they make you feel "full", they have tons of fiber, a full pot has onely 50 calories... so... yeah, many diets include them...

Dear Bizi,
If you did not think of it already, you can ask for a hotel fridge. It is nice to keep good snacks handy.

Smile hey guess what!

ok. so after those hungry days when we thought someone had spiked my benzo with Zyprexa, i was totally afraid of the scale. the hunger did peter out, then i had stomach problems (probably NSAID-related) then i quit the benzo and my appetite took a dive (interestingggg, eh?) for a couple days. so today it though ok, now that i have a faint hope of regaining control here let me check the "damage" and got on the scales.... surprise surprise!!!

i LOST another kilo (2.2 lbs!) could be water weight from not being hungry the past few days, but i have actually been drinking lots more water than usual so i kinda don't think so. i know it isn't much - but i expected to have GAINED back something or at best stayed the same!

i have been wanting to run again but concerned about my feet (previous sesamoid injury with multiple relapses).

thing is, we think my sudden weight gain (1.5 times my original weight in a few months!) contributed to the original injury, even if it was precipitated by trauma.

so now i'm hoping maybe by fall when it will be cooler and better for starting up outdoor exercise, i might have lost another few pounds and it will be even less risky to my feet to try for a little jogging. we'll see.

Good luck Waves.

I have been getting to go walking thaniks to Derrick and I's two days
in town a week. We have been having good food. And again next
week we are going to meet a friend and family and go to a pizza
place with rides for adults and kids.

I have been eating good food again.

Derrick and I had old county buffet on Tuesday night. It was really
good, and they must have been running some kind of special.
We ended up having a great meal for 17.00 and the bar even had
steak on it. And it was fantastic.

We ate white castle on the way home Wednesday.

And stayed at a hotel that had free breakfast.

Oh and I think I forgot to tell you on Monday while Derrick was
getting his breakfast, he had a seizure. And couldn't even find
his way back to me. It was a really bad one. He slept it off
and I'm not sure but I think had a couple small ones in the hotel
bed. Then when i got him up to leave late at 12. He had another
one going down the hall to the elevator.
Someone was nice enough to help me with getting him to the chair
in the lobby. And I wasn't sure we were leaving even then.

But finally we left and went home after eating. But we finally did.
But not till after wondering if the hospital should have been in
our stops.

Unhappy

Dear Donna,

sorry about Derrick!

unless you think he was in status probably no point in going to the hospital although they could have run an eeg i suppose... but i'm thinking more along the lines of can you get in to see his neuro. seems like that's a lot of seizures - more than usual - so maybe meds could use a tweak, or the VNS.

Thanks Waves

And yes, really only reason I was thinking of hospital was I wasn't sure
the seizures had stopped.

So we were watching to see. I really haven't had the experience like
this one in a long time. Have to admit not really sure I have seen it
like that.

We are watching and will continue.
