i seem to have lost 1 kilo after hitting a new maximum weight with Zyprexa a couple months back. 1 kilo is 2.2 lbs. i am at a point where it could still be water weight but it wasn't sudden, scale gradually nudged downward over about 6 weeks until firmly planted 1 kilo lower. 6 weeks for 1 kilo is NOT encouraging as i have a full 15 kilos to go to get to my "pre-Zyprexified" max weight. and then about 5 more to get to my ideal weight. so that's 120 weeks??? ...argggh... more than 2 years???????????????

i am not doing anything specific. in fact i am doing specifically bad things like eating from the snack machines. but one thing is i've started taking coffee without sugar. it upsets my stomach less. but i think it also helps reduce sweet tooth type feelings - i don't use any sweetener whatsoever. i drink it with a bag of mint infusion brewed in.

congratulations Pammy on your weight loss that is great.

Bizi good job on a healthy sounding meal and have a nice time.

Well I am lucky Jack does the grilling on the chicken (in bulk) and steaks so I don't have to cook those, we will reheat the chicken and we're doing bigger servings of veggies, like spinach or green beans. Or for variety we sometimes we do summer squash and zuccini. Also eating more salads. Its not easy but we're doing it. :)

Thanks Mari & all for the encouragement. :D

we discovered spagetti squash, cut in half which is hard to do, then take out the seeds, place cut side down in glass 13x9 pan and cover with plastic wrap micro wave on high for 12 minutes. its is done and very hot, when you scoop out the strands it looks like spagetti and you can use in place of noodles with spagetti sauce or just butter. very good and low carb. one will feed your family, it is alittle pricey about $3 for the squash but so good. plus fresh strawberries are good for you, and lower in carbs when you subtract the fiber carbs.

Dear Pam,

You are doing great.

Those are good food plans. I like that hubby cooks several meals at a time and freezes them.

Remember that frozen veggies are more nutritious and cheaper than fresh.

Dear Bizi,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sD-4E_woLz0 one minute video on how to cut it
I haven't made Spaghetti Squash lately. I can't remember how I cut it open. Probably now I would not try to cut it in half (I am a bit of a klutz with a knife. ) I'd probably poke holes in it like a potato and cut it in half after I cook it and cool it.
I'm glad that you are having fun with it.

Dear Bizi,
Broccoli and string beans are my go-to foods because they heat up easily in the microwave. Sometimes I add one of the following: spaghetti sauce, a touch of salad dressing, or soy sauce.
I like cucumbers because they are easy to peal and cut up to eat raw.

Do you have some favorite low carb vegetable?

M.
