sorry Bizi... what a terrible surprise it must have been for you to see that on the ingredient list... with all this effort you are making. no fair!!! good news is you'r prolly not hypothyroid either... as i speculated in your adrenal thread, since you lost less than you'd hoped... well, it.... seems we have a MUCH simpler explanation... MORE CALORIES! :o go get that sugar free stuff... and keep on keepin' on! love ~ waves ~ |
Hubby complimented me on my weight loss this morning...he said he could really tell that I had lost the weight.

I am weak.
I do really well during the week then on the weekends I fail myself. margaritas are so good and full of sugar. Last night it was wine and champaigne Last night we went on this art walk where galleries are open late and they have snacks and drinks for free. I was like a kid in a candy shop. I started off snacking on cheese and meat slices and then chicken salad then quickly made the leap to little sandwiches and then came the red beans...buy this time I am drunk and all thoughts of dieting are out the window. I feel awful! I gave up alcohol for lent(40 days) and have just been a crazy woman ever since. I drank 3 times this past week. I think it is a problem for me, no I know it is a problem for me. My tdoc knows it too. thank you for letting me put it down here. I use it when ever I am going to be in a social situation. So I am using it as a crutch. I fell completely off my diet a week ago and its is like I gave myself permission to overeat and drink. I need to get back on program and do my diet. Wish me luck. bizi |
You are so hard on yourself Bizi. Remember my dad used to say "all things in moderation." It doesn't have to be all or nothing. I love you.

Well wishes for Bizi
(((Bizi)))
I wish you well in your efforts to get better. Recognizing your difficulties is half of the solution. Not to say the other half - making necessary changes - is easy. I would not say that you are weak. It takes a good deal of inner resolve to take on diets like you are doing. You are always talking about how yummy your meals are, but I am well aware of the things you are not having that you might also enjoy. When we give up something we enjoy for a long time, it is not unusual to go on a binge afterwards. It is a pretty natural reaction. It doesn't imply weakness. I am impressed that you were able to give up drinking completely for Lent. 40 days is nothing to sneeze at! In that sense, perhaps moderation is the steadier path. If you believe that even moderate use of alcohol is a problem for you, then that is another thing - that is more difficult, at least at first. Whatever you think is best, I am rooting for you. Please be kind to yourself - you deserve it. (Besides, beating on yourself for falling down does not make it any easier to get back up! ;)) love ~ waves ~ |

Think of yourself as succesful. Five days of the week you have one plan. Then for the other two days of the week, you have a second plan. M |
A falahfal sandwich with greek salad and humus, 3 beers. happy friday!
bizi |
beer, fish, eggs
Hehe happy Friday/weekend to you too Bizi. :)
Mmmmmm I LOOOOVE falafel... and hummus too! I used to make hummus regularly but here it is "difficult" - i believe it would produce arguments. There are a lot of middle-eastern fastfood places but most sell Kebap surprisingly only a few have falafel. I had a couple of Beck's yesterday afternoon but I think it was too much for me. By now I have a low tolerance I guess. We had fish for dinner, and then i went kerflump and slept from like 9pm to midnight. and then again from about 3 to 7. I might have got a bit dehydrated ... or something... mild headache... yech. :o I am going to make eggs this morning. That sounds like it might fix me right up, somehow. ~ waves ~ |
