Poll Tgif - Weekend Check In

Hi - It's almost the weekend, time to check in.........

What's up? How is everyone feeling?

I have a few errands to do today. Not really sure what else. Have to check the weather. If's it nice, I will go to the pool and catch some rays.

I may go out tonight and meet a few friends or maybe late this afternoon for lunch and a few cocktails.

I feel more rested today. Yet, I have a big fat KNOT in my shoulder blade, like a spasm or pinched nerve. It's painful and my pain med isn't helping it.

I have had this on and off ever since my disc's fusions in my neck.
It is probably from being so tense. OUCH

Anyway, have a nice weekend................Nikko

If it gets really bad, treat it like a sports injury. Ice, then heat, then ice again. Do you know anyone who gives a great massage? Perhaps you might want to treat yourself.

I don't have the same pain, but I sure can empathise. Sometimes you think you would do just about anything to be rid of the pain. Mine sits in my left side-mostly my neck. But when it gets bad, bad, bad it travels down my arm and into my fingers, my hip and even down into my knee. Then the right side tries to compensate and boom- in bed or a hot bath. So, I feel for ya. Big time. I wish I could help you not hurt. Hugs, lady bug.

It snowed again. 8 inches out here by the lake and 4 in the rest of the valley. And it hailed on top of it last night. Wild weather.

So, I am going to sit around with warm tea and a blanket and give in to my head cold. Maybe by the end of today I won't feel like my head is going to explode. The joint pain is starting to subside, so I feel more human than last week. Snow didn't help the joints much, but it's better today.

Where did the days go of spending the weekends on the Harley and in the bar and out till all hours of the morning? I sure don't miss the hangovers, but I miss the energy I had to play. Maybe one day, I will get that back. At least that is my goal.

Default Tired but here

I wish I could stop being so tired! I get not much done on weekends, I want to stay in PJ's and sleep.

Work tomorrow but they are calling for another snowstorm, nothing like the last one, but roads will be bad again to travel.
I may have to miss work and the pay....

Nikko I had trigger points when my knot got to much a few weeks ago. I use lidoderm patch too to loosen and daily rub with biofreeze. It comes up from the traps, I brace, like fight or flight syndrome and my shoulders feel like they are up to my ears from tightening up.

The hot tub should give some relief, and use a rub of somekind.
On my skull I use ice, and traps I use heat pad after I rub out.
But getting the traps loose is a big key.
I hope you feel better.

Hi all,

I am exhausted now after playing with my 6 year old nephew and my almost 3 year old neice. The oldest nephew, was having his birthday party somewhere other than their home today and left after I just got to his house. No one tells me anything. I could not go to the party because of other plans later. My sister-in-law acts like my brother is a complete idiot when in reality I think most of it is on her part. Of course when I tried to tell my brother that had I known about the party I could have made arragements to go to the party, I was cut off like I was not even talking. Then my sister-in-law tried to talk the 6 year old into going with her even though he kept telling her he did not want to go while he was playing with me. The almost 3 year neice don't remember me so I would have been sitting there without being able to play with the kids. I basically would have paid my ride $18 to take me to their house to sit there with my sister-in-law's sister and my niece who would not have anything to do with me until towards the end.

Anyway, my family really sucks but at least I'm not going to let it keep me from my younger brother's kids if I can help it. The oldest told me he loved me before he left for his party.

All my brother would have had to tell me when we made plans for me to come by his house today that the oldest kid had his party today somewhere else.

Sorry to complain. I took pictures today and can't wait to upload them on my computer.

thanks Bizi,

I sent my brother an email telling him I was hurt because of him not telling me about the oldest's party and hurt that his wife tried to get the middle child to go over a playmate's house. I feel so much better now.
