Thank you all for your replies

Both of my parents were alcoholics, and so was my maternal grandmother and uncle (he quit drinking years ago tho).
My husband has admitted he's an alcoholic, but denies it at other times. He's up and down on the amounts. Sometimes he won't stop. Others he says he can cut back, but can only do it temporarily.
So, this hasn't improved, and neither has our sex life. He just wants to sit on the couch (usually with a beer), with the TV on, and often he's playing a game on his phone or computer.
I get pecks on the mouth, but whenever I try to tongue kiss him he tells me he isn't in the mood.

The zoloft gave me constant terrible headaches. I lasted about 3 weeks and tdoc agreed I could cut the dose from 50-25mg. I stopped 2 weeks ago because of the other wonderful side effect: It was blatantly obvious that I'm manic. I saw the tdoc today and she increased my lithium.

I've had to return 4 pairs of glasses!!! The bones behind my ears are pronounced and 2 places haven't been able to fit me without causing headaches and pitting back there- even after I showed them how my current pair is bent. I guess I'm a PITA, but I refuse to spend that kind of dough on glasses I can't wear. I just went to a new place, and the OD really sounds like she knows what she's doing. I picked my frames out and they have my script, but my insurance site wasn't running. She said she'd call today, but no word. I'll call tomorrow. I get transitions, too.

Sorry I've been going MIA so much. I still love you all!
Kay

Heart Dear Kay

Hi there!!!

sorry your hubby has not improved! i don't suppose there's any way your hubby would agree to a detox program - inpatient?

just a word on the zoloft - i never start on 50 mg.... gives me horrible headaches. i start with 25... that gives me milder/tolerable headaches, and some activation, which however settles down. and quite frankly, if 25's were available in this country (they aren't, but they are in the US), i'd start at 12.5 - by splitting a 25. i really have to titrate very slowly - i don't increase once a week, need at least 10 days, preferably 2 weeks in the initial phase. this also provides opportunity increase mood stabilizers concomitantly if the activation does not settle down. if i have activation, i do not increase until it has dissipated. just sharing in case it be helpful, should you ever have cause or want to try zoloft again in future.

i hope you are demanified soon.

Good luck with your new glasses. i finally made an appointment to have my vision checked... i need a couple pairs myself for other reasons... sigh... so expensive to have to keep track. sigh... indeed so expensive.

glad to see you thanks for popping in!

~ waves ~ sending well wishes
