DD has appointment off the mountain today so I think I will reschedule. If the roads get bad hey shut it down and I don't want to get stuck. Two nights ago I made a ham soup, last night chile to warm our bones.

Hey Di. The other storm missed me today also. They got it 20 miles to the North of me,and to the West. It's 27 degrees out there right now,but I have power. So basically the whole mess missed me in this area. The mountains probably had something to do with that.

There was a little frozen rain on the top of the trees Monday morning. We had dense fog out here on Monday night. I didn't see any snow on Tuesday morning. I was very fortunate.

How much ice,and snow did you get. I hope that it wasn't to bad. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Donna,

Is the house as warm as you like?
Do you have ways to be more comfortable in the house?
Like warm packs for your hands?

Comfortable inside gloves or a heating pad maybe?

The house is usually okay.

I do have a heating pad, for my shoulder and arm. Its still
giving me a fit.

Ugh.

Hey Mari I love those hand/body warmers. Those type of hand, and body warmers are very effective. I used them also when I worked at a Supermarket when it was cold inside, and outside. I was the only one who would by them for some reason. They are well worth the cost. It seems like people who have cold hands all the time don't buy them either. I have about 3 Value Packs of 10 pairs of them on hand. When it's a cold morning on Sundays,I usually give my sister one when she comes to church. I bought mine at Walmart.

There are electric rechargeable hand warmers for sail also. BF:hug::hug::hug:

If my power goes out I also have two propane heaters. I've used one of them, and they are effective. The one I have used has a fan in it that circulates the heat. Two D cell battery's circulate the fan.

The one that I have used very successfully is a Coleman Portable Catalytic Space Heater, and the thing WORKS!!! It is fueled by those small 16.4 Oz propane tanks.

I have a small TV that is battery powered. I have scanners,LED lights, and glow sticks that light up a room. I usually have a full tank of gas in my car in case there is an emergency.

So I am ready if I have a power outage. I don't want to brag, but I have thought this thing through.

A long time ago I went through a power outage, and all that I had where candles, and they did not work. BF:hug::hug::hug:
