We had a small earthquake in the County to the South East of me. It's magnitude was a 3.2. It was nothing like the 5.8 earthquake in 2011.

It was close to 10 PM. Things started to shake a little, and I heard a slight rumble for about 30 seconds. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Hi, Steve,

I read that on the news and thought about you.

Does it feel weird to have things shake and rumble?

Air

Went to AZ a number of years ago and got caught in a dust storm at the air port. That did suck the air from you. Very weird. Fl. is nice these days, 80's and sunny. ginnie:hug:

Hi Mari. Yes. It's weird hearing rumbling, and feeling the Earth shake. This earthquake was different then the 2011 5.8 earthquake, and it's many aftershocks.

The rumbling sounded like it was further away last night then the one in 2011,and it's aftershocks, but it rumbled for about 30 seconds. I was watching the clock this time.

I'm glad that it wasn't to bad. They just fixed the Washington Monument. That earthquake also broke water pipes. The one last night probably didn't hurt the water pipes at all.

It's strange having earthquakes. I heard about them all of my life, but have not experienced them until recently. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Lawnmowers and Rain

I awoke to lawnmowers.
Then the thunder and rain came, forcing the the lawnmowers to stop.

Forecast calls for rain for the next few days.

Some parts of our area had 12 inches of rain and some flooding.
The streets in our neighbor hood flooded and I drove through them and luckily did not get caught in too deep.
They are expecting 1-3 inches tomorrow.

Wow, I missed that there was a earthquake.

Not having access to anything, isn't always good.

But I'm so glad you are doing well with the rumbles.

We get earthquakes and tornadoes. Not looking forward
to the season for the tornadoes.

After my sisters house was almost destroyed. I really get
worried now.

If I was a multi-millionaire,I'd build some sort of bunker in case of tornados,or man made disasters. I'm not,so that's that. There are no fallout shelters any more. Huntsville Alabama is the only place that has fallout shelters. I hear that President Clinton brought the fallout shelter program to an end. They have fallout shelters for them selves, but not us. Isn't that something!!!

We have been having thunderstorms recently. The weather hasn't been to bad. We have had a pollen burst though. BF:hug::hug::hug:

I must say it has been really nice weather here lately. Sunny, breezy, bits of rain but not enough to cause a bother... just enough to clean the air.

Not so hot I've had to use the fans yet, which is pretty amazing. I do need to go and fetch them from the cellar though... we will be needing them soon. It is warming up.

Steve,

They still make Tornado Shelters and Hurricane Safe Rooms. People can build them inside their houses:
