If you have a wellness exam it will be simple and they recommend paps every 3 years now. so I skipped mine last time just had a physical. It is important to have information. You really do need to take good care of yourself.
abbies illness will not effect your blood work in my opinion.

Hi Bobby, I too think your bloodwork will be ok. It's better to do it if it's time. When you have the check-up, let the doctor know you've been under a lot of stress.

The only thing I can think of that could run a bit high would be your blood pressure. I'm not sure if the lipid panel can be affected, but it takes a good while (~3 mo) for fasting values to change anyway, so I don't think recent events with Abby would have been able to affect those things yet.

Try to take it one day at a time. If Cecilia won't help you any more, you will figure something out out. I'm sorry Abby is so sick.

how is the pilling going?

cecilia hasn't come over yet. abby is a real terror. i don't know what to do about the vet. i think i should wait til she is through with her antibiotics and then have her have another urinalysis instead of having it before she is finished. i think we accidently skipped two days because one day i missed and found the pill the next day and twice cecilia might have given her two pills instead of one because she wasn't sure if she got the pill in...so many three days...there were twenty four pills.
she is still wetting herself so it doesn't look good. i have been unable to cry. I am so blocked up.
on the positive side i got the new air conditioner the building promised me. i have been waiting so long for it.

Did the vet tell you to double dose her if you skip a pill? I am very concerned about that. It's not usually a good practice with antibiotics to bounce the levels around.

With human antibiotics, usually the instructions usually say something like:

"If you forget a pill take it as soon as you remember, unless it's close to the time of the next pill, in which case, just skip and take the next one at its regular time."

Often there are explicit instructions on human antibiotics not to take double doses. Sometimes one is not even supposed to take one later if one forgets.

cecilia was afraid she didn't get the pill down so she gave her another on two different incidents. I didn"t know what to do. Cecilia was a lab technician so she knows a lot. I don't know if i should ask for two more pills on Monday since she is two short. I am so anxious. abby is acting normal except for the wetting which now she seems to be doing everyday.
Hammy died of renal failure and so did my kitty cat Pumpkins. she died six months after her diagnosis and didn't have the same symptoms as Hammy.

Hi, Bobby.

Ask the vet what to do about times when
-- you realize Abby didn't have her pill the day before
-- you are not sure if she swallowed it.

Specifically, ask her if it is ok/better for Abby to have a double dose of that stuff.

Also, tell the vet Abby is too feisty for you and you are having trouble pilling her. She might have some recommendations. She might even be able to teach you, on Abby, how to pill her. I think it will also be sensible and fine to tell her that sometimes pills get lost and ask if it is possible to have extras.

I am sorry this is bringing back the pain of losing Hammy and Pumpkins.
