the vet suggested i put the pill crushed in her food. my friend Joyce who knows all about cats said it wouldn't work. it didn't.
cecilia found another loose pill on the floor but she is positive she got today's pill in her mouth.
i will ask the vet those questions which i should have asked in the beginning.the vet had trouble with abby and i think abby even scratched her. that is when she had the vet tech clip her front paws. i wish she had clipped her back ones too.
thank you

love

Bobby

I would have them clip the back ones now. I also know that sometimes
it takes more than one set of Antibiotic to help even pets. So I don't
personally think a 2nd set of antibiotics is a bad idea.

Good luck Abby.

Yes, ask ... they can clip them.

It sounds like Abby and this vet do not have a real good relationship. I am reminded of the angry cat video... sigh.

I wonder if I can get my mom to video me toweling and pilling a dummy-cat, so you can see how to do it. Abby sounds extemely feisty. It's still easier with two people. If I were there I would help you. Rats but I am not.

The vet is not helpful (a loser). Geez.

I hope Abby gets better.

that is very interesting. the vet will take the urinalysis maybe on tuesday. i am postponing it because right now i am very unstable. I have been praying to God for protection. I think she will need another round of antibiotics. she didn't wet herself last night

maria and i tried to wrap abby in a towel but she was too squigilly (sp) and would get out of it before we could finish wrapping her. cecilia still has trouble getting the pill in her mouth even though now i hold both her fronts paws and her back paws. she is very strong and smart

Joyce puts them under her arm with one hand and pills with the other. she can do that with a 20 pound maine coon. I think Joyce is a cat whisperer.
thank you

that day i almost didn't go to the senior center because i felt so out of whack at the last minute i went. God did protect me. I was able to sit at my favorite table and the center had high school students singing and playing instruments. i really enjoyed myself. the music got through to me.
this morning i found out cecilia is going to be away for four days in may. she is also going to do three days of trials for agility but will come home those days. i just wrote to robert to ask him if he could help me pill abby for two or three days if she will still need more antibiotics.

Oh, that's so good that you managed to get out, and that you enjoyed the musical event at the center. I hope Robert agrees to help while Cecilia is away.
