I am looking to change up my tooth paste.
I don't want any artificial sweeteners in mine. I am going to try hello. a new tooth paste available at cvs and other stores, walgreens, target etc. bizi it is approved by the ADA american dental association so that is good to me. no artificial ingredients and no tricloson! Think I will run over there. bizi |

Hi,
No Triclosan in my current one, which is actually Colgate Whitening. I finished the Total I guess. Also I had to find the box to see the ingredients -- they were not on the tube. (Bizi they might be listed on the box for you as well, if you ever need to see stuff?) I just did a google and see that the local formula of Aquafresh contains it, and another link says that Colgate Total contains it, and that it is a carcinogen? :( I was not aware of that at all! waves |
WEll I could not find the hello tooth paste.
any body hear anything about phosphates being bad for us? bizi |
I looked up my Crest toothpaste, and it doesn't have Trilosan in it,but it has Sodium Saccharin in it,and so does the Colgate Optic White that my sister uses. Hers doesn't have Trilosan either in my research.
I'd better ask my dentist what's going on with a small amount of Saccharin in these toothpastes. I've got a feeling that allot of our food, and things in our environment have carcinogens. Even our cell phones transmit radio close to the side of the head, and it's hard to get the truth about it. The more we dig,the more questions we will have. :Sigh: BF:hug::hug::hug: |
I know steve!!!! what is up with the sacharin in our crest?
I think it looks like I can get hello at target. so will look there tomorrow. It doesn't have any artificial ingredients or sweeteners, it says 99% natural on the tube. bizi |
I,m getting in touch with Bryanna on the Dentist forum. It will be OK. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Bryanna may be asleep right now,and we can hear from Bryanna tomorrow.
We are in over our head about this subject right now. BF:hug::hug::hug: |
Guys,
Saccharin is not considered a carcinogen. It used to be considered a suspect carcinogen -- that is no longer the case. None of the approved artificial sweeteners have been found to cause cancer in humans. Some experiments found such associations with rats, in high doses. When you read this kidn of thing, realize that for safety testing the quantities used on the poor rats are orders of magnitude larger than those we consume. This is from the National Cancer Institutes (US): http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/f...ial-sweeteners Quote:

We do not eat our toothpaste is quantities like we do food.
I was always taught to spit it out. Small amounts get into the body via the membranes or via swallowing or whatever other means. But spitting it out helps somewhat. Saccharin is fine. How to brush http://www.dentalhealth.ie/dentalhea...ivetoothb.html Most toothpastes are kind of gross. For example, what do you thinking causes the foaming action? What is in this link is gross. This is a warning for those who get disturbed by lists of weird ingredients. It is possible that is it not 100% updated. For ex, I am not sure about the formaldehyde for 2014 http://www.hornellcityschools.com/te...e_bodanis.html The link from TOM's refers to all their products -- not just toothpaste. They are slightly better than some other brands. http://www.tomsofmaine.com/products/...n-Our-Products M |
