I am to remain AF until saturday per my friends request, to be a support person to her. She is convinced that she is not losing weight because she is drinking. and she knows that is how I lost weight. So I will go to the gym tonight have not been in a long while. Will walk on the tred mill may try to jog a bit to test out my thigh. It has been 6 weeks since memorial day week.
I need to do some paperwork billing, hubby bought some stamps so that is good and helpful.
IT is just sitting down and doing the work!

I made it to the gym, jogged walked almost 2 1/2 miles in 35 minutes...
4 minute jog one minute walk intervals.

I am hoping that I am able to sleep in the same bed as jeff tonight, have slept in the spare bedroom after drinking so much and could not sleep.
I took my night meds and am not tired. will finish here and go lay down. I read a readers digest before lights out to help fall asleep. It takes me forever to finish them reading a page or 2 at night.

I cooked a crock pot pork roast with spinach and squash and carrots and onions and cream of mushroom soup and some sage and spices not much salt. one pot dinner. it turned out good and plenty of left overs for friday then will freeze the rest.spinach stuffed chicken breast and some veggies for dinner tomorrow night. we rented a car to go on vacation this year. We pick up the car friday morning, I hope it is a fun car. WE did not want to put the 2500 miles on the new cars. and it only cost about $300. not too too bad.
we had the tree trimmed today and mulch put down around the tree it nourishes the tree. WE had an arbourist do the work, $1100. They did a good job.
I ate a delicious pear for a snack and I am still munchie. will resit the peanut butter that is calling my name. I had some nuts earlier. few cashews and some brazil nuts which are very good for us for some reason, I forget what. We are supposed to eat 4 a month.
good night. another AF night for me, should sleep better.

Bizi,

I advise you to consume what you cooked over the next few days, and don't freeze it this time. Food safety.

When you want to freeze things, this should be done immediately, as soon as the item is cooked and cooled. Things left in the refrigerator long enough for a second meal are not safe for freezing. Not sure why.

It might be the subsequent thawing needed that is problematic, because this food is frozen with more organisms already on it, and as soon as the temp drops below freezing, they would multiply again, possibly to unsafe levels or producing unsafe amounts of toxins. (Organisms are destroyed by cooking/sufficient/reheating, but their toxins are not).

Brazil nuts are rich in selenium.

Only 4 a month? Now that is rationing. ;)

Bizi,

Your pork roast with carrots and squash sounds delicious.

That is great that you got the tree done. That is so important to take care of before the busy part of hurricane season approaches.

Waves,

I wish you can explain this to hubby for me.

I have explained the "toxin" thing to hubby a million times but he does not "get" it -- and this from a guy with a big interest in chemistry and other sciences.

I have given up.
Lately I do a broken record kind of thing:
"If you want to risk it, I am prepared to call the ambulance for you."
I repeat it several times before making something else for myself to eat.

lara, I am thinking that you only need to eat 4 a month to get the benefits of the nut. Not to limit the brazil nut.
Go ahead and eat as many as you like.:)

a friend of mine challenged me to stay AF this week tuesday thru friday.
tonight I texted her...Are you not drinking today? Because I was thinking about drinking.
She said ummmmm. I drank a beer today, but only had one.
I said to her that well then.... I will have one too.
and she said to stick to one and she would ask me about it tomorrow. I said deal.

I don't think I could stop at one so I don't think I will have any.
And I am really full, 3/4 of my plate for dinner was filled with veggies. The other quarter was baked chicken.
