The heater kicked on!


I am so happy because I did not know that it would.

First it is burning off the dust from last year.
I opened a sliding glass door to get the smell out.


Tonight's low is expected to be close to 50 degrees.

Hobbes our old cat used to howl when the heater would kick on for the first time, he was our smoke detector!

I'm glad that your heater is working. 50 is too cold out not to have the heat on inside.

On the way to the pdoc's office I ran into a huge traffic jam due to a crash at a big intersection.
It took me an extra 30 mins to get to her office.

I was crying when I got there.
This was pdoc's advice about not getting upset when things happen:

"When I am in a situation, I always tell myself it could be worse."

O, dear. 'Such a weird thing to say.



I have trained myself at work and in my real life to wish for and be thankful for good things
because I deeply believe that the universe hears what we say.
I am thankful that my car ride there and back today was safe.

Mari,

I'm guessing like in this situation. She is thinking:

You can be so glad. Your just in traffic and not part of the
accident. And You can call the office and let them know you
are in traffic because of an accident.

I like your way of thinking, Mari

I don't think the "it could be worse" type of thinking is necessarily a good way to go for people with anxiety, especially if they suffer from catastrophic thinking...

Hi,

Work was intense last weekend and few days into the week.
I was so overwhelmed / worn out for a few days afterwards.

I called Mom and Dad to ask for their FREEEEEKING flight information. (One might think that they could have
given me that by now, especially since I have been asking for it)

Thank goodness I got Mom because Dad wants to talk about restaurants and
crap rather than let me know his arrival and departure times.



So Mom read the tickets to me.
Now I have airports and dates and arrival and departure times.

They come to our house via Taxi Wednesday afternoon and then borrow
one of our cars while they are here in the hotel.

Then Saturday early morning. I drive them to the airport --
Dad in the front seat with me and Mom in the back seat with Hubby.

Thanks for understanding. I curse like a sailor but that's not the
same as saying negative words.

I am as hopeful as possible in my language because I believe
that the universe hears us.

I want all good things for myself and the people around me in real life and
online and even for the people I do not know.
