Donna is right... my surgery is on the 21st, the day before Thanksgiving.

Donna, I am going to keep the book. It is beautiful, and it has novels in it that I surprisingly have not read. As a big Jane Austen fan, I think it's worth holding onto.
My pants arrived, and they are very warm and comfy. They seem like they will be plenty long even if they shrink. I'd like them to shrink a bit because they're pretty big on me even tho I bought a medium.

Yesterday morning I told Corey that I wanted him to (finally) put a bulb in the light on our deck, so hopefully if we turn it on when we are out there to smoke, they will know not to come down the stairs. And if someone decides to, and starts to cause trouble, I want to get a good look at them. He put a new bulb in immediately.

Last night the Pats played, and our neighbors had people over. But they weren't very loud... I guess Adam took my suggestion about keeping the window closed to cut down on the noise seriously.

I knocked on Mary's door to see how she's doing, and Ellen was there. She was very apologetic about the other night, and about their behavior in general. She said that she and Adam had a long conversation, and decided that they were drinking too much, and were going to cut back on their partying. I have heard that before, but it sounded more genuine this time. She also said that she was going to tell her guests to use the front door instead of the fire stairs in the future.

I guess my pdoc is changing practices, but she is only moving upstairs from her current office. She's not moving until the 12th tho.
I'm going off the Rexulti because I feel over-medicated, and don't want to be on two atypical antipsychotics anymore. I'm going to add back another 100mg (total of 700mg) because of my anxiety tho.
I have an appointment with her next month, but can call if I need to speak to or see her sooner.

Oh, more cat s- on the rug...

Tomorrow I am going to bleach out (hopefully) all 3 of the cat boxes, and maybe that will help? Maybe the litter in there is too old and Rocky doesn't like the odor or something?

Your neighbor sounds like they are really going to try to get there act together. They don't want the cops called on them .

I do not mess with meds like that on my own... I should have been more clear that I had a pdoc appointment yesterday. I'm stable, and she feels like I am coping with things better (ie/ situation with the neighbors), and she doesn't like the idea of me being on two atypicals either. So as of last night, I'm off the Rexulti. And I did increase the gabapentin by 100mg again up to 700mg because of anxiety. I got what I wanted, but that's because we're usually on the same page. I'll obviously be moving with her to her new practice.

I feel good this morning. I don't feel overmedicated or sedated.
I hope that my mood holds up, and my anxiety stays down enough, so that I don't need any intervention besides possible increases or decrease in gabapentin (and Klonopin) before surgery.

I think the big change in attitude from our neighbors is because we talked to Adam- not Ellen on Sunday. He may not even have been aware of exactly why we were calling the office so often. Maybe he needed to hear it from us- not her. She said some things that were new yesterday that probably came from him. Also, they don't want the cops up there... that's a big motivator.

I have so much to do before I go in for surgery... I have been writing and rewriting lists... so many lists... so much to do...
I'm going to get started today by cleaning out the cat boxes.

It's occurred to me that I won't be able to go out and smoke cigarettes like I usually do when I get home from the hospital, so I will have to buy some e-cigarettes

You know, Bizi... I didn't even ask lol.
At the consultation, we went over so much about my symptoms and medical history, and then the actual surgical procedure, that I forgot- even tho I met with the surgeon for over an hour. Maybe I will learn more at the pre-op appointment on Monday?

I have been able to nap the last two days!!!
It seems like forever since I've been able to do that. Unfortunately, I'm so tired that I've still been in bed or passed out on the couch by 9-9:30.
I think the plans and lists I've made have helped reduce my anxiety and have let me relax and take those naps.

I went through hell cleaning out those cat boxes yesterday. I'm so sore!!!
I had to buy a big bucket of litter that I can't lift (I asked for help at the store) to get the job done, so I had to use a cup to fill the boxes, and it took forever!!!
I bought a type of Tidy Cats litter I used to buy that isn't available at the supermarket, so I haven't been able to get it in a while. I was surprised by how strong the fragrance was, and was really afraid the cats would be turned off by it, but thank God they have been using the boxes without any problems. Rocky was really affectionate yesterday. I wonder if it had anything to do with the clean litter boxes? No poops on the rug for 2 days in a row (knock on wood).

I have an appointment with the nephrologist at 1pm today. He had me send pee away for a lot of testing after my last appointment in hopes of nailing down what's causing my kidney problems. So, I'm interested in finding out if anything turned up, and if there is any treatment (that's just a pipe dream tho).

I have a script to pick up at CVS today. I have coupons, so I'm going to buy the dry shampoo and the travel size things I need like deodorant while I'm there. I'll buy more mag. citrate, too. I don't want to have to buy it all at once...

It's time to start chipping away at these things because the surgery is two weeks away now. I still have several other things to buy, and may go do more shopping tomorrow because I'm sure I'll be busy next week, and getting some of these things done early will take some of the pressure off.

I also have to go to the dispensary because I'm almost out of MJ. I think I will hold off on doing that until next week if I can tho.
I don't know if I'll be able to smoke it when I get home from the hospital... don't know if that's a good idea since I'll be on narcotics. Maybe I'll just pass out from the drugs and not feel the spasms in my legs? That's what I'm hoping will happen in the hospital.

They just legalized MJ for recreational purposes in Michigan.

Maybe when we are in INDiana this christmas we can make a short trip to MI?
My parents live by the border there.

Just because pot has been legalized for recreational use doesn't mean that you can walk into a store and get it yet. It will take the state a long time to set up a regulatory body, find licensed labs to inspect and regulate the MJ, and distribute licenses to stores, etc... We have been waiting years for that to happen in Mass (for recreational use).
But that doesn't mean that you couldn't get lucky and find someone who will sell you an 1/8th or a joint somewhere that you can smoke without consequences!!!

My nephrologist still has no idea what is causing my kidney problems. Sometimes they never know. There were a lot of abnormalities in the results of my pee tests, and some of them were confusing/conflicting. Some of it may be due to my mag. citrate use. I will see him again in 6mo, after my surgery, (hopefully) after I'm no longer taking mag. citrate, and he will run tests again.

I put all the mini toiletries I bought yesterday, along with a toothbrush and little toothpaste from the dentist, into a large ziplock bag. And I ordered a travel sized tube of my face lotion off of eBay that should arrive by Tuesday. So, I can check all of that stuff off my list.

I'm going to Target today to get the makeup bag, bras, and maybe some more comfy clothing. I will not be staying long since I have to go grocery shopping after, and it's lottery day.

It's better to get the shopping out of the way now since I will have a busy weekend, the pre-op appointment is Monday, I get my nails done that Friday, and I don't know how much time I'll be spending on the toilet (or when).
