Rash is getting a little better
I know I need to go to a dermatologist but I cannot fit in dealing
with an MD. I am too depressed to do anything more than get to the car to go to work. Hubby helps me get out the front door. The bumps have diminished although they hurt a little when I re-apply the cortizone. The rash is slightly better than it was Monday morning before work. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- There's a chance that I had a reaction to the electric blanket. I had not been TOUCHING the that blanket with my hands (or any parts of my body directly until two or three nights ago.) M |
Since the bumps aren't a medical emergency, you can always wait to see if they go away on their own/with Cortizone treatment before you make an appointment, or make an appointment for a ways out and cancel it if they go away
|
Thanks, Kay.
I made two appts with new dermatologists. The first one I made is Feb 22-- too long to wait So I called another office and got an appointment for Feb 12. It's the same day as a meeting at work but I can do both because the times work I think. I have an old dermatologist but I cancelled too many times and I don't think they would be nice to me if I called asking for an appt. M |
I'm glad that you made an appointment that's going to work out for you, Mari

Appt with new dermatologist Tuesday
Thank you, Kay,
Tuesday I have a b.s. meeting. Then I drive back to my neighborhood for the Dermatologist appt. It's almost too much for ONE day. DID I TELL YOU I AM EXHAUSTED? +++++ My bumpy hands seem to be completely cleared up, BUT my face (cheeks and nose and everywhere else) are red and raw from the CPAP. I'm been wondering if the redness is caused by the pressure of the mask or more likely bacteria or fungus, but hubby does a good job of cleaning the pieces when I ask him. I also have a mole near my chin that is bothering me because it looks stupid. M |
Sometimes I get bumps, redness, etc on my thumbs or near my wrists because I either haven't been rinsing the soap off those parts well enough or have not washing them well enough... IDK.
I'm glad that you will be able to get the raw skin on your face from the CPAP checked out. I hope you can get some kind of cream to treat it, and maybe something to prevent it from happening in the future. I know I wouldn't be happy about it :hug::hug: I hope that something can be done about your mole, too  It sounds like you will have a long day, Mari. I hope that the trip to the dermatologist IS worth it, and you get some good sleep tonight (((HUGS))) |
Thanks, Kay,
I am trying to talk myself into going to the appt at 2:15. I do not feel like taking a shower and going to that building . . . . .having to talk to anyone . . .. deal with the electronic messages I am getting from his office,. . . . . (For example --"Sign into the portal" -- NO. . . . too freaking hard.) I would rather sleep. M |
I went to the wrong address and kept walking around the huge
medical complex before I figured I was in the wrong place. Then I fought the traffic to get out of there and came home. M |
Bizi
I'm so sorry you went to the wrong building and walked around till you figured it out. I was hoping you got the appointment finished and taken care of. Donna :grouphug: |
I am so sorry

I am so sorry that that happened to you. how awful! (((((HUGS))))) bizi |
I have done the same thing more than once, Mari. It's terrible. You must have been so stressed. I'm so sorry that happened to you :hug::hug:
|
Today the office called me to ask if I was o.k.
And they asked me to call back to reschedule. So I guess I will call and ask for their freeking address and a new appt. M |
It sounds like they are nice there. Most doctors' offices don't call to ask if you're okay... they call to b- at you, and tell you you will get a bill in the mail for the no show, or just send the bill.
I hope things go more smoothly the next time around  |
Mari
I'm so happy they called to ask if you were ok. I sure wish you had someone that either could go with you or take you so you could definitely get to the right place. But I know that would make it harder. Hoping you can get it rescheduled and soon. Donna :grouphug: |
Lost a new bottle of Klonopin --
Most likely I threw away a new bottle of Klonopin with other stuff when I was clearing off the kitchen table.
Mdoc's secretary secretary did not seem hopeful when I called. She told me to keep looking for the bottle. The secretary said something along the lines of "that being a lot of pills." She did say that she would let the doc know. I'm freaked out by the secretary's response. M |
I found the bottle of Klonopin and it was exactly where it should be --
in the open plastic box (no lid) with the rest of my current meds. ===== But I am NOT HAPPY. I went through so much terror after talking to that secretary.:mad::o:eek: -=-=-=-= I want to try to reduce the Klonopin on my own. (I am already taking 0.5 less than what the pdoc prescribes.) |
Mari
Sounds so good to be reducing already taking less than prescribed. I don't have a clue what to tell you about the secretaries words though. Maybe you and the hubby can figure out a way to figure out a way to keep your meds figured out. Maybe a lock box for extra's that need to be there. Donna :grouphug: |
I am sorry you went thru terror from the secretary's response to you.
I am glad that you found your klonipin! love to you bizi |
F- the secretary, Mari. What does she know?:hug::hug:
Only you know what you need to treat your anxiety. If you feel like your anxiety has gone down, and you need less, or it's sedating you too much, then reduce your dose again. But I wouldn't do it for any other reason :hug::hug: |
Thank you for support, Ladies.
|
You will always have it, Mari (((HUGS)))
|
Just thinking of you tonight.
I hope you are having an ok day. (((((HUGS))))) bizi |
Lost in the parking garage after dermatologist appt.
I could not find my car in the hospital parking garage after seeing the new dermatologist.
It was 82 degrees and humid. I was hot and upset and tired from walking back and forth. =-=- I finally went back inside to the dermatologist's office to get help. I walked up to the desk and stood in front of the oldest woman who I hoped could immediately see I was having a problem without my having to say a word. She had the other girls quickly usher me into one of the examination rooms where I cried and bawled for a while. (I was wet with sweat and tears.) =-=- One of the girls was tasked with taking me back downstairs and waited with me for security. The security guy drove me around and asked where I thought the car might be. He also asked if I backed into the spot or parked front first. Then I told him the make / model / color of my car. He found it. M |
oh mari,
I feel so bad for you. I hate parking garages. What an ordeal. am sorry for you for having to go thru that. (((((HUGS and LOVE)))))))) bizi |
I'm so glad that you asked for help, Mari
That must have been an awful experience (((HUGS))) I can't imagine how high your anxiety must have been :hug::hug: How are you doing today? |
what an ordeal. I am so sorry
|
Mari
I'm so sorry, This happened to you. But I'm so glad that you asked for help, and they got you help right away. Donna |
Re dermatologist visit
The doctor said I have rosacea.
He said it can be caused by not getting enough sleep. =-= He probably said a few other things but that is mostly what I remember. We both talked about sleep a little. He said that the bumpy rash I had on my hands a few weeks ago was probably related to the rosacea. He ordered two creams:
I might try them first on a healthy area of my body like one of my forearms in case the cream causes an unfavorable reaction. M |
That is interesting that he diagnosed you with rosacea. I always thought it was just on the face. I have the acne kind that flares up with stress.
I hope the creams help. ((((HUGS)))) bizi |
I use the metazole or however it was spelled. I really like it
its really cooling and its really an nice feel. I haven't ever had to use it on anything but the face. Donna :grouphug: |
Thanks, Donna.
I have not tried it yet. (only tried a little bit on one arm.) M |
I think trying it on your arm first is a great idea, Mari. That's something I have never thought of, but it would have saved me a lot of trouble in the past if I had. You are a smart lady :)
I hope you don't have a reaction, and the cream helps with your rash :hug::hug: I think it's interesting that you were diagnosed with Rosacea somewhere other than other than on your face, but that's only because I've never hear of it, but I'm not omnipotent. I think that flare ups because of lack of sleep or any other kind of stress makes sense tho  |
How is your rash?
bizi |
Still here.
It burns. I have not tried the cream yet. |
I am sorry it burns....:(
(((((HUGS)))) bizi |
I'm sorry that the Rosacea burns
Did you have a reaction from the little test spot of the cream on your arm, Mari? If there was no reaction, why are you resistant to trying it on the rash? I'm not judging. I have a rash/acne from those little blue Klonopins that has gotten worse because that's all I could get from the pharmacy again. I have a prescription for it, but haven't been treating it. I don't know why. |
Okay, I'm lost the roseclea ?sp, Shouldn't I don't think burn. So I'm
concerned its not that. But the M spelled stuff is very soothing and goes on very cool feeling so it should feel good going on. So even if it burns the rosecliola, it shouldn't hurt to use it. I'm sorry I can't spell the word. Donna :grouphug: |
Too depressed to deal with the cream.
Thank you, Ladies.
The Rosacea does have a stinging or burning feel. Possibly his cream would help with the burning And it would be great if it made my face look normal. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I will try the cream on one section on my face when I am in the mood to experiment with my face. .,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,. I am so very very very very depressed. Talking myself into applying ointment is a freaking hassle that I am not up to. And I do not know what to do if I have a bad reaction. M |
this seems to help me Aplenzin: Side Effects, Dosage & Uses - Drugs.com ,
lexapro and now gapentin were added. It really seems to work when nothing else worked. I think also that is reducing my appetite |
