Trig Canceling Thanksgiving Dinner due to bad mood -- really really need to vent

Hi,

I am feeling hugely overwhelmed with stuff due to work, friend, work friend, parents, sis, hubby, my own medical and teeth issues, hubby's new four day rotation diet, . . . .

And I can't stand the smell or taste of Chinese food. We are canceling my stupid idea to go out to Chinese food for Thanksgiving.

I don't care if hubby goes out. I will be staying home.

My Friend is being needy and rude and I am not in the mood.

I had to visit a very sick colleague in the hospital today. The hospital was far away and the traffic freaked me out. But of course I am at a loss about how to feel about colleague's sickness. I can't process it. And maybe I won't even try.
I'll send her good energy and hope for the best for her and try to keep that separate from my issues -- but it is hard.

Work is piling up. I'm tired.
The apt needs cleaning.
I need more money.

Hubby and I are still paying bills the stupid way. We each pay certain bills instead of letting him pay all the bills -- the way I have been talking about here for a while now.

I last washed / showered on Thursday, Nov. 20.
Maybe I should go take a shower and get clothes ready for work tomorrow.

Mari, go take a shower, then hop in bed. Get some good zzzzzz's.

I hope you feel better in the morning. Your problems will still be there, but perhaps you'll be better able to cope with them.

i am sorry you made yourself go to the hospital.............that seems like the proverbial straw...sounds like you are bending too much and just snapped.
Do whatever you want to do on thanksgiving...even if it is sleeping through it...don't push yourself through any more hoops...you will take a shower when you feel like it.

Default Thank you.

Yes, about the hospital.
I knew that she had been sick, but it was a different thing to see her in her hospital bed and hear her talk a bit about what was happening.
Ordinarily I would not have gone to the hospital -- might have sent a card and telephoned.
But another colleague needed me to drive her -- that made it complicated because I had to pick her up and drop her off and so forth.
Then I sort of got weirded out on the way home in the dark with the other cars on the highway and I was unfamiliar with the roads.

Hubby just woke up from his nighttime nap (he has an odd sleep schedule too). He is fine with doing nothing on Thanksgiving.
And I just sent an email to needy friend canceling Thanksgiving.
I told her to apologize to her brother for me.
I need to stay inside for the upcoming 4 day weekend and try to regain my sense of equilibrium.

I am starting to feel better already. The Thanksgiving meet up was bothering me.

Regarding the shower: I just took one a few minutes ago. Now I am clean and wide awake because it is stimulating to go through that.

(Yes, I sound a bit grumpy. )

It's good to vent. Don't hold it inside. It sounds like you are having many worries. I understand the frustration. Things will be OK.

People in traffic on the road are crazy, and impatient to often. Sometimes they try to make you accelerate beyond the speed limit, through tailgating techniques. I hate that.

I'm sorry that your night guard, and dentist have caused you problems.

I was angry over the weekend myself. I feel better now.

I also think that it's the changing of seasonal things that make us frustrated, angry, and depressed this time of year. BF

Dear Friend,
Thank you.

I'm sorry that you had an angry weekend.

And people really should be nicer on the roads.

Tonight I think that I was a bad driver because I did not know where I was going and some people really did give me some consideration and that was a good thing.

Regarding the weather: the tv news keeps saying we are going to have a cold spell. They announce it like it is a big deal the way that they do hurricanes. Then I check the weather and it is 3-5 degress difference -- I wear the same sweater I wore the day before.
I wonder why they think that they have to generate anxiety about weather. I wish that they would take a break.

I get that way to if Im driving in a unfamiliar area, and I don't know where to turn. I've made some really bad mistakes in unfamiliar areas.

Yes. The weather hype. They profit from the ratings, hype, and things. I don't like that either. I don't like those commercials that worry you about health concerns late at night.

I have a hard time jumping in the shower if I'm troubled also. You are not alone on that. BF

Default 'Glad that you got to see the show.

Right now Craig Ferguson is my favorite tv personality.

My sis and I even make jokes and then say, "I knooooow" in that whiny kind of voice he does.

I like how he talks to he guests too.
I missed him tonight but last night he had on Simon Baker from the Mentalist.

Thanks for being here tonight.
