Someone please put me out of my misery.
I even made a video to show you what happens when I try to install the cd. I called up Netgear and the guy told me 'oh, it's your operating system, call up HP" DUH!!!! It's Windows XP and I don't think they help you anymore with XP Whenever I put in the cd it bring up the Netgear screen. I am supposed to be able to click on the word SETUP and it should self install. It did nothing. I rebooted in safe mode. Inserted CD, clicked on SETUP. It begins to install, and then hits me with an error message "Cannot access Windows Installer" or something to that effect. I then went to Start, run, typed in SERVICES.MSC and found out my "Windows Installer had STOPPED. So I clicked on STARTED So it's running. Oh, I also disabled my firewall. The netgear guy told me that might be the problem. It wasn't. It has everything to do with Windows Installer. So if I re-boot in Safemode, it starts to install and then tells me I have a Windows Installer problem. If I run it in normal mode, and put the cd in, it will not do any installation at all. What can I do to install this WiFi cd thing. Here's the video showing you http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUrtivHrRcY
