Cashew Gravy 1 small onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, chopped 2 tablespoons oil 3 tablespoons brown rice flour (or flour mix or arrowroot or cornstarch) 1 cup vegetable broth 1 1/2 cups water 1/2 cup cashews salt and pepper to taste Saute onion and garlic in oil until lightly browned. It will seem like "too much" oil but its needed later for the flour/thickening. In the meantime combine cashews, water and veg broth in blender and blend. Sprinkle "flour-of-your-choice" over cooked onion and oil. When flour begins to brown, add cashew liquid from blender. Stir/whisk in until heated through. |
