Now that the legs are hurting less since going off of cholesterol drug, took the furbaby for a nice walk...so beautiful out!! My furbaby looked up at me, seemingly in a blissful state. I felt the same!
This afternoon I had to fill a tub with water and mix in dechlorinator, then drag the tub over to the pond and dump it into the fish pond; the water level was getting too low. Hope it doesn't disturb the fish. Anyway, I was pooped after dragging that huge tub over to the pond 4 times. Whoo...now resting.

Got a couple of days worth of workouts to catch up on here. But first, the results are in, and my "donut adjusted time" from Sunday was good enough to put me at 57th out of around 230 guys who had timing chips. My wife was 13th out of 47 women, so Bravo for her as well!

So back to the workouts...Spinning tuesday night for the first time in almost three weeks and WOW was it harder than I thought to get back into it. Did 1 hour and 5 minutes with a max HR of 95% of max and an average of 77% of max for 954 calories burned.

Spinning again tonight was slightly easier, mainly because it was shorter...45 minutes, 92% of max, avg 82% of max, and 752 calories burned.

Going to try to get in a class tomorrow afternoon because we have other obligations this weekend and I won't be riding.

TX how do you do it!! I mean spinning... whenever I do something too high aerobic.. or high rate... I get too overheated.. come off dizzy and balance issues... so avoid it now...even long fast paced walks.. which I miss..

might have to start walking faster and longer gradually and keep the phone on me.. just hate side effects for just walking lol

I did do yoga this morning, I woke in SEVERE back spasms pain.... here on vacation from work.. so doing less and still pain lol... the yoga though I kept getting like tightness around trunk that was bothersome...and my right leg kept cramping up...darn when you want to work out....

I have a massage scheduled today, so that worked out since back is problem today... going to tell her of the spasms.. and ask her to focus more on back than anything.... she massages each area...thru the hour...

wish I could afford the massage more often... or insurance would cover but does not. I only get one every few months...hugssss keep moving all... I may take a walk later...with kids or alone not sure hehe

I wish I knew why I was so lucky. I would export it to everybody else ASAP.

I do have to be careful about overheating...I put my spin bike right under one of the fans in the room when I setup, and when I ride outdoors in the heat, I usually carry one water bottle for the express purpose of pouring it over my head to cool off periodically.

But with that said, even when I do overheat, all I do is get weaker and slower...I am just lucky I guess in that it doesn't make me lose my balance or anything.

Ok, I did my new dance workout (which is hard because I have two left feet, lol) I spent 35 minutes fumbling through it but got a good workout anyway.

LOL Wiz!!! I am that way with my Classical Stretch. Too funny. But it is fun and a good workout.

In a flare so haven't done anything except simple stretches throughout the day and night to help with the bad spasms.

Looking forward to getting back on my regular program.

lets see.. massage helped wonderful, she hit right spots, gave me some more stretching tips. And advice as so the spasms do not tighten me too much to damage stuff. we had a long talk.

last night though, I was in excruciating pain, very very bad in back.. from neck to lower back spasms galore.. tingling just terrible stuff. tears...

woke this morning, hurting but not too too bad, did a 60min yoga tape.. one for longevity.. in case I want to live to 99 in pain lol....

anyhow, lots of good stretching and relaxing stuff in it, so it was rewarding... sun is shining now.. so might take the girls for a short walk.

Thanks for sharing your biking info and good tips...

hugss to all, sarah

sabi, I am sorry you are having such difficulty. Does Valium help the muscles relax?

tkrik: I hope your flare eases off soon.

NIce dancing ewiz.

I swam a mile today after my swine flu shot. I cannot believe I was able to get the shot.
