So far...so good.
Hi D, Miralax is considered very neutral compared to most other rx for constipation. Mostly bulking and smoothing the way so to speak. There was mention of Senna and for the record this is an herb which if too much is taken will cause cramping and discomfort. More of a forced evacuation. I would avoid this for obvious reasons. There is an Ayurvedic combination of herbs which helps detox and clear the colon which is called Triphala. A combination of three herbs. One of which, Amalaki, based on a powerful vitamin. C fruit. Anyway with this formula one hopes to achieve a more detoxed, tonified colon and thus less symptoms overall.

Again must work up to a regular dose or risk reactions. Personally, I prefer the method of eating gently warmed prunes in juice first thing in the am. For some reason the trick is to consume a half cup or so of warmed prune juice. Works like a charm!

BTW- so sorry you are in a flare and hope your plans for a trip to de-stress will be the motivation to get feeling better on all levels very soon! Best WishesTT
