With the warmer temps, all I want to do is go, go, go! But my muscle endurance is shot. Partially my own fault, lol! I didn't exercise as diligently as I should have. The Rebif really did a number on my mood, and I didn't realize it was that bad until I had to stop taking it.
![]() Took forever to do some yardwork today, and had to take 3 breaks that were an hour or more until I could walk right again. Legs would start shaking and could barely stand after a half an hour. But at least I got some vitamin D and took my frustration out on some overgrown bushes. ![]() I keep reminding myself that I didn't get this bad overnight, and with time and work - I'll probably get some of my endurance back. But patience is one of those virtures that I have problems with, LOL! But I'm learning. ![]()

Well, FinLady, you might not think you're a good example of patience, but I think you are a great one for perserverance!
Good for you to tackle the yardwork and get on top of things before the warmer weather brings on more weeds/work. My irises are peeking out of the ground. I just planted them last fall and am so excited that they survived! Also I planted dozens of tulips that I'm anxious to have bloom. Happy Spring!

Jenn, I know exactly what you mean. I have all these plans to do things.....then try doing them and have to stop fifteen minutes into it because I can't keep my balance or my vision gets blurry. It's so frustrating because I feel like working in the yard or walking around the flea market. Once I start it's like an egg timer clicking down. I know I just have a few minutes of "good" time before I start to wobble around like a weeble.
![]() ![]() I'll have to remember to appreciate the days where I can actually accomplish my chores with minimal sx interruptions.

I try very hard, not to have Spring fever anymore. It's so debilitating and demoralizing, at my age.

Hi Finlady,
We have been having some nicer weather lately so today I took advantage of it and did yard work too. It was so good to get out. We have had a snowy Winter and then lots of rain. I do exercise every night after my shower, while my muscles are still warm. I also practice my balance on one foot even while brushing my teeth. I may hold on to the bathroom sink counter, but I am on one foot, which I couldn't do for a long time. Practice makes, not perfect, but it helps give strength and muscle back to my legs and ankles, which used to wobble constantly for years. I have found just these little things can go a long way to re-teach your brain to signal new pathways, and it sure helps. ![]() I find if I do something like yard work, food shopping, or one store visit, the next day will be my rest-up day. This is how I manage my fatigue so my timer doesn't run out before I get something done. It is great to take breaks, that was good you did that. Plus getting over heated is not good, as we all know. It goes a long way to help rest your legs and muscles when you over-use them. Keep up a routine, and with that, and some sunshine, helps with those low moody days. Keeping the body and mind busy, even hacking the bushes, Lol helps too. You're doing great, keep it up. ![]()

Thanks guys for letting me vent! It helps to know we're not alone with these struggles.
![]() ![]() Lady, I'm getting back to a more regular routine with my yoga. Which has been a bit frustrating since I have to work back up to one of the poses because I lost that balance, but it should come back with time. ![]() I also broke down and brought trekking poles. I love hiking, but my legs get tired a lot sooner than they used to, so decided to get some help with that. I researched some unpaved hiking trails near here. Got a camelbak for my water and ice, and will probably start doing some of that next week - reminding myself to do a little bit at a time. (that whole patience thing again. ![]() ![]() I just can't believe how out of shape I am, even having lost ten pounds from changing some of my eating and drinking habits. ![]()
