I did manage a decent nap yesterday. Got up, gave jack food, and his pill to make him contract his bladder and we both went back to sleep. Nodded off watching TV, and then about 11pm jack started seeking the box about every 45 minutes. He would go very little, then be upset and come seek attention from me.

I think I am going to take a few days to do nothing. I have a few errands today and then the weekend belongs to me!

Will peek in now and again, but for the most part, i need sleep! real, long lasting, deep, restorative sleep.

What does the vet say about Jack's condition? I'm out of the loop on things. Just curious. I iknow how sick animals/kids can be a lot of work and wear a person out. Hope you are able to get some sleep. You need it and hopefully Jack will be able to rest some too. Thinking good wishes and thoughts for you and your kitty. Hang in there!!

Jacks surgery was a success! wahoo! but his poor bladder stayed over stretched for so long that it is now floppy and out of shape, and he is having trouble contracting down on it to empty. So, he can dribble. He is on pills to help, and this will heal. it may take a week or two, but 99% of animals that have this recover from it. its a matter of trying to stay ahead of the skin break down from urine being on his new incision, his tender shaved skin and the irritation from the bladder being forced to spasm.

Managed a good nap today. holy crow I needed that. I am going to stay in low gear and take the weekend to run around in my jammies. DH did the laundry AND when I was up he changed the bed, and even made a nice dinner. Wahoo!

That is great news to hear!! Glad you were able to get some zzz's too. It is great when spouses/SO's are so helpful and caring. Have a peaceful night!
