Default Fructo Oligosaccharides ever heard of it?

I guess the newest trend in sugar free sweetners is Fructo Oligosaccharides or FOS for short.

Here is a bit of info from http://bodyecology.com/articles/understanding_fos.php

its supposed to help cause the gut to produce the correct about of GOOD bacteria, the body cant digest it, and so it passes thru undigested...

Why do I ask about this? lately whenever I am reading labels (i read everything) I keep finding that word. I decided to look it up. Since I dont buy prepackaged items, it facinated me that I found yet another sugar substitute.

Anyone else eating this stuff? what are you thoughts?
