You know that machine that my vet laid Jack on? well it gave him miraculous results. ONE treatment and he was hugely better.
I found a practitioner in my state that uses this machine (but makes NO claim of healing, medical treatment, or improvements) its viewed as a form of "bio feedback" but its the exact same machine! I also know someone (a healthy girl) who sees her, and claims that even tho she was healthy when she went in, she helped with several issues that were "bugging her" (one of those who has never been sick a day in her life, but I listened) so...I made an appointment. HUGELY expensive! My first visit will be between 800 and 1000 dollars! ![]() My appointment with her is March 1. I will let you know how it goes. See the video on my cats thread in the stumble inn if you want to know about this machine. Will it be placebo? will it be a miracle? will it be hogwash? dunno, but im gonna find out. Here is the link for the machine. http://www.myspace.com/video/3183619...video/31313387

Whoa that's alot of money.
But I am curious if it helps you, too. We have various posts on PN and RSD about machines like this... PN has the Rebuilder and RSD has Calmare. I myself use high gauss magnets on my back when I am sleeping and they help me tremendously with chronic back pain. So I am curious to see if that helps you too. It can really be hit or miss, you know.

You saw what it did for Jack first hand. Whether it will work for you or not you'll never know unless you try. It's a lot of money and if it doesn't work, you're out the money. But if it works it would be worth every penny spent. Sitting over here it's easy to say that you'd be crazy to risk that kind of money. If I was sitting over there in your position, I would be thinking go for it. It's worth the risk. So I will pray and send positive vibes your way that this works and helps you in some way.

I watched the video..very interesting. One Doc compared it to Accupuncture. I don't understand the necessity for being so expensive.
![]() To me, that's the quack factor...No guarantee, but it's gonna cost ya. ![]() OK, I'm a skeptic. I probably wouldn't have tried LDN if it had been outlandishly priced. I'm not in your shoes, however, so I wish you the best with this therapy. If it works for you, it couldn't be placibo, because it worked for Jack!!! ![]() ![]()

Jack the cats treatment was not cheap, but also not over. The vet said he could only clear 3 things at the same time, as pushing past that would push Jack too hard. He then figured out that he MUST push 4 in order to make the combo that he wanted to make to pull Jack away from Death's door. Jack ran a fever for 2 days, and was lethargic and hid, but he was eating his high value food, and taking his naturopathic remedies. In the end Jack's first visit cost me $250 and he is going back next week for another treatment. The vet told me that once he is done "adjusting jack on the machine, it will end up costing me between $600 and $800 if not a bit more to bring jack back. So...its about the same price.
DH is FREAKING OUT! if there is one issue you can freak him out with, its money. We have another grand into a 5 grand cat, and now we are going to throw a grand at the wife, AND I need a follow up treatment in one month that may or may not be almost as expensive. Money is flying! I reminded him that we had virtually no oil bill this year. The electric stayed low because of the weather. Jack seems dramatically better, so we can stop spending money on the expensive food, and injections. I do not know how much of the placebo factor plays in for humans, but I do know that Jack the cat wouldnt fall prey to it. He would either feel better or not. Jack the cat feels better. Wild stuff, but I guess no more wild than the accupuncure, massage therapy, magnetic therapy, copaxone, betaseron (they dont know how or why those work) along with MRI the stress of going back and forth...how much am I already falling victim to the placebo effect? Im BLIND! my sight is 20/400 even if I can get back to 20/200 I would still be legally blind but have enough visual light to make out things that are in my path. Thanks for the cheerleading.

I've been using magnets for over a decade now successfully.
They have to be placed carefully to work and they have to be STRONG, to penetrate. Older magnets were not strong, hence people think all magnets are fringey. The reason acupuncture works, has been discovered. It affects adenosine levels in the nerves, which are a part of ATP. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases...0530144021.htm Quote:
If you search Ribose on the boards, you find those posts on Fibro and PN.

I posted to you before about the science behind this theory. That is alot of money to give, to a product that has claims not substantiated by science. I don't want to say don't do it, it is just I feel something is wrong about this. Money is hard earned, the economy is bad. I would have to have a proven form of treatment with a scientific backing to invest this much. I know I could be wrong Dej, I read alot in the physics dept. and this kind of science is not that advanced yet. Are you really sure you want to do this. If you do and it works, I will be the first in line, followed by most of us on NT. Take care, and my best to Jack the Cat. ginnie

Hmmm...
I believe in magnet/electrical therapy. Our bodies are electromagnetic machines, after all, that get out of whack from environmental toxins. I have seen shows about a magnetic machine that therapists use on the brain to lessen symptoms of depression. You have seen your kitty improve health-wise from this...as you said, the placebo effect wouldn't apply to him, since they don't have the capacity to convince themselves that a therapy is working. Have you done a lot of research into this? You have tried the various allopathic therapies, and have gotten worse. Have you tried alternative therapies like accupuncture? You are the one who is suffering so...if you make a reasoned argument, I am sure your husband will be on the same page. But I understand about the $$ issue with your man...mine is the same way about things. Let us know...keep us informed...and know we are walking with you, if only in the virtual world ![]() ![]()
