I don't blame you about not wanting to take any ADs. You haven't had good luck with them at all. Have you tried an SSRI (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor? Cymbalta is an SNRI (Serotonin Norepinephrine Reuptake Inibitor) and Wellbutrin is a NDRI (norepinephrine-dopamine reuptake inhibitor). They each work differently. Since I didn't do well with Cymbalta, I won't take another SNRI. I was on Paxil and then Celexa which are SSRI's and did fine on them for the most part. Paxil was a little too sedating for me. Just something to keep in mind should you find yourself heading to the dark place. Once there, most of us need something to help us get out and stay out. I have been fortunate as I have not had to take Celexa for quite some time and am not taking any AD. Should I find my self heading in that direction, down for a few days, I know I can start back up. I know it will take me a bit but I needed to get off of them to see if I was allergic to it or not.

Take care of yourself!!! I am glad you CT scan was normal. That's encouraging. Did you talk to your doctor about doing an EEG?
Thanks Tkrik. All good questions. I'm not well versed on the alphabet soup of AD...i.e., SSRI/SNRI/NDRI etc. Dr wants to "introduce" me to Effexor in a couple of months but I'm very leary. Dr. did not request EEG. However, I did get a copy of an old EEG from my cardio when the first "incident" (i.e., syncope/seizure/wtf) happened at that EEG was normal. that was in 2010.

Its a journey....these mind and spine diseases, isn't it?
Thanks for your support. It helps.
