I had palpatations many years ago. They Stopped as soon as I cut out caffinated drinks. Anxiety also caused palpatations for me a few years back and Buspar stopped those.

Remember, Chocolate has high caffiene.. For some reason, Chocolate never bothered me....thank the Lord, because I oldn't live without chocolate.

Let us know how it goes with your tests, FFM. Thinking about you.

Wow, Sal, I'm a total caffiene junky. A quart or so of coffee every a.m. and D. Pepsi during the day, and cold tea at night. Sheesh, thank heavens I'm not a chocoholic!

Any news yet about FFM? I'm praying it's nothing really serious and can be treated. I've worn a Holter monitor many times since they discovered Mitral Valve Prolapse many years ago. Palpitations, heart stops for a couple seconds to get back on the correct rhythm. Actually a blood pressure med is what I take, Tenormin, but the generic is Atenolol -- a beta blocker. Works most of the time, but notice more when I'm extra tired.

AMN -- don't you know how bad that diet soda is for you????? Check out aspertame -- really bad stuff!!! Splenda isn't good either. Guess we'll just have to add on the calories/pounds with regular sugar, etc.

We're waiting to hear about those results, FFM. Thinking and praying for you!!

LOL, Judy, I blame them all for my MS. Actually, I will do nothing to prolong this life.

FFM got her monitor off Fri. afternoon but couldn't get the evaluation done until Tues. Docs and holidays, you know.

Oh No - lets not say to loud that FFM may have to give up chocolate or her Dr. Pepper....

I was happy that chocolate doesn't cause palpatation with me, but you had to bring up the weight thing, didn't you, you meany. Oh Well, you have to take the bad with the good.

Will be waiting to hear your report on Tuesday. I hope it's just a temporary thingy.

Sorry to hear of your troubles. When I first read your post I immediately thought perimenopause symptom, but you don't look old enough. Just my 2cents, a little late as usual.

Good luck as you quit smoking. It is a most difficult addiction to overcome. But I believe a definite mindset and some other aid, like meds, will make it do-able.

Fingers crossed and good thoughts sent to the universe for you.
