Hi, Eva, I was just wondering about you. Good vacation, I hope!

EvaLouWho 08-15-2007 08:06 PM

OK Cindy, just can't get enough naps!!!
I should be asleep now, but my rt leg is screaming. Oh well, just need my drugs and it'll calm down :) , as I drag to my stash,,,,,

Snoopy 08-15-2007 08:15 PM

Well Cheryl you have me beat, a concussion is worse than a UTI but they both suck ;)

Do you have handrails in the shower, if not that might be a good idea. (I just love giving advice when I don't use the advice for myself :p ) I don't have handrails in the shower, it's one of those things I keep saying I need to do

:icon_eek: AMN, you mean to tell me Pizza Hut isn't the name of a cookbook, I thought it was

Umm....Thanks Taffy but I hate cranberry juice but I think chocolate helps :D

Thanks DM, you are apparently the only "sane" person here.

Eva, I hope your vacation was a good one ;)

Taffy 08-15-2007 10:16 PM

FG a concussion? That's awful! I'm so glad you went in to the Dr. You must of hit your head pretty hard. Ouch!

Aren't you the one that fell off your kitchen counter? Why were you on the counter?

Is your headache gone now?

SallyC 08-15-2007 10:25 PM

Wow, I miss a lot when I take a long nap. Snoopers honey, sorry about the DUI...I mean UTI.. I actually did type DUI and realized what I did..TeeHee.

UTIs sucketh the sourest lemons, especially in the Heat of summer. I haven't had one since I started drinking Cranberry juice daily and making sure my bladder empties.

Ouchy in a big way, Cheryl. So sorry!!!

Welcome back Eva..:D

You all try to stay out of trouble while I'm napping, OK...sheeeeesh!!!

I've been more indecisive lately than ever in my entire life. I can't seem to get myself to lock down on anything anymore. Oy, for a decision that leads to action, my kingdom!

I'm a slacker, I didn't throw in the tourney. But I got some sleep, which is so elusive these days.

AMN, I so enjoyed your memories. You are still cool to hang with. I'm suffering from major indecisiveness myself. If you figure out how to decide, I'd appreciate a heads up. That's probably part of why I can't sleep, besides pain.

ta da! I have a mild concussion! I hit the marble wall in the shower pretty darn hard and thought I'd split my head open. No visible signs of damage, except for s sore left wrist and a bruise on the side of my left knee! Just call em klutz!

I guess I can add "I do my own stunts" to my signature line.

:welcome_sign: to the club. :D

Yes, I hit it pretty hard. Thought I cracked my head open! Or at least cracked the marble wall in the shower!

How did I fall off the kitchen counter. I blame that on Baclofen. The stupid drug. I hated that drug and it never worked. I was just hanging wall paper border and got dizzy and took a step where there wasn't one. Long way down from the counter to the floor! Very expensive border paper in my kitchen! I include the ambulance ride in the cost!

No, still have the headache. Doc said it could last up the 6 months. Great. Told me if it gets worse in the next two weeks, to call him back. And he gave me an rx for fiorcet.

I lead such an exciting life! :D

I decided to stay in bed today. I am totally bored. It probably shows. :D LOL!

UTIs have a way with messing with MS symptoms. That's why every time I get an exacerbation, my neuro feels the need to run a UA. I should get a discount card from the lab, dontcha think? They don't...no sense of humor at all! I don't get them tho. Lucky me I guess. Or at least I haven't had one in quite a while. However...I do get yeast infections after IVSM. Not sure which is worse!

Anyway, I hope you get over it very soon! Quicker than I get rid of this stupid concussion headache. Dumb...

Oh yeah, who asked me about grab bars in the shower? Taffy? My shower is 8' long and 6' wide with a nice L-shaped seat it in. Two shower heads, one at each end. It's ADA approved. Well, the problem is that the floor had soap on it left over from DH giving Holly (the lab) a shower the night before and he didn't clean it up very good...there was soap where there wasn't supposed to be...bad DH!

:thud: That was me, me, me.....geez, Taffy gets credit for everything. :Bawling:

That sounds like one nice shower :Deliberate:

I'm glad Holly is clean but good grief hubby needs to be more careful about rinsing the soap.

Snoopy, you mentioned taking Macradid and then Cheryl mentioned Yeast infections. I took Macradid for a UTI and got a terrible yeast infection in my mouth...yuck:eek:  Oh, the irony..huh...LOL

Sorry you still feel poopy, Cheryl. Bad DH for leaving soap in the shower. Now, take a rolled up newspaper and give him a swat.

Hope you feel better too, Leeann!!! Those UTI's are nasty.

OK MZ Dorrie!!! Whassup witchu????? Can we help???

I'm Mz Mellow-Yellow today. Is that the same as "doesn't give a sh-- "? TeeHee..:p

Sorry Dorry...How may we cheer you up?

How's your Head, Cheryl? You mean this fall was Hubby's fault? Hmmmmmmmm. Off with his head!!:p

How are you doing with your battle, Cindy? Who's winning today?

DWI getting any better, Snoopers?;)

Where are our Chrises. I miss both of them. I hope you guys are doing OK.

I also miss FFM, what are you up to, I wonder?

Hugs and smooches to everyone else.:)

LOL, Sal, yep, I think it means that a car could drive through your livingroom wall and you'd only get mad if it were blocking the TV. I'm kind of that way sometimes too.

Dorrie's AWOL. I hope she's okay.

Yeah, Snoop & FG, how goes the battle??

Both our Chrisses are missing too, most disconcerting. I wish they were up to checking in. Our sorry little lot is crumbling before our very eyes.

FFM is off on other adventures. I don't know if she'll be coming back our way or not. I hope so.

My victories are fleeting and shallow, Sal. I think I'm just a malcontent. I am pleased to report that I was able to locate some shoes I want and will be going to test-hobble them shortly.

Weather here today is spectacular, breezy, sunny, not humid (for here) and only 78°! I'm putting in my order for 365 more of these.

Any news from Jim?

tovaxin_lab_rat 08-17-2007 01:32 PM

I am feeling much better today after spending all day yesterday in bed. Probably just what I needed, although I was terribly bored. I am not one to just sit around...I spent waaaay too much time on the computer yesterday :D

I promise to be good and not do too much today. It's supposed to be cooler today - yeah! Cooler means, 95 not 100! And only 90 tomorrow! I like that. 90 I can handle! Maybe I will get some of my own yard work done! I have a nice crop of crab grass in the back yard! DH has no clue what it is!

Waiting to hear back on two job bids!

Headed to Portland on the 30th for vaccine #4! Bums me out because I am going to miss the season opener for Boise State football. I hate that...

Other than that...life just moves along.

New shoes Cindy? Cool...pictures?

Snoopy 08-17-2007 06:42 PM

For those with inquiring minds.....the UTI is still hangin' in there but I am now bouncing back and forth, it's getting better, no it's not.

I slept most of the day and I am still wrapped up in the flannel comforter....woohoo time to party :icon_rolleyes:

AfterMyNap 08-17-2007 06:46 PM

I'm glad you're resting, LA. It really can make all the difference!

Here ya' go, FG:

DM 08-17-2007 07:06 PM

Ohhhhhh~ Don't anyone come around me, for I am a JINX.

The Vet told me today that they are pretty sure my 12 yo Doxie, Maggie May has Lymphoma. She is on steroids, antibiotics and pain meds. If her lymph glands don't go down w/in a wk, then it's a given.

I am soooooo sad. First I have to put my Mom's lil Chihuahua to sleep and now this.... Sorry for the pity party. She is just such a sweet ole gal...

Glad your'e feeling better Cheryl and Snoops.... Wish you all were here so we could have a Rum and diet, right FG?? Right AMN??
Hey, at this point, what would it hurt????

New shoes Cin???? Did ya get them on the Strip??? Did you leave them in Hugh Grant's car????

I hear ya, Sal.... I don't know who I feel like anymore.

I wish I could cheer Dorrie up, but I'm such a poopiehead lately. Tomorrow is another day... right????

Snoopy 08-17-2007 07:09 PM

OMG.....ROTFLMAO

I just LOVE those shoes AMN......how often do you actually stay UPRIGHT :Slip:

Hey, dm, I'll meet ya' at the barn.

I swear, I'm in some new dimension, it's like emotional lethargy. I don't feel anything about anything. There have been some matters that I have had to release and maybe I'm just in the rinse cycle and will soon be spinning again. Bleah.

I spent a few minutes with my squishy little friend and I just hugged her a lot. She's pretty cool that way, she just turned 5 but has the perception of someone much older.

I know that place well, Cindy..:Wave-Hello:

Who or what is your squishy little 5 yr old friend?????
Do I want one? May I have one? Will you give me yours?:p

Ok, I'm happy today, Hugs and sloppy kisses from my 1 and 2 yr old Grandsons will do that. And of course a loving hug and company of my 6 & 8 yr old Granddaughters. And last but not least a snuggle with my 37 yr old Baby Girl..:D (what a treasure she is)

What are all of you up to today? All evil and delicious, I hope.;)

:grouphug:

AfterMyNap 08-19-2007 01:04 PM

Oh, sorry Sal, I forgot, here is the squishy one! We have had our pic in the same spot twice a year all her life. She totally loves that I keep prints all lined up under my transparent desk blotter.

This kid was the squishiest little thing you ever saw, hence, the name.:D

capp3736 08-19-2007 04:54 PM

Hi Everyone

I am hanging in here. I saw my primary care Dr. on Wednesday and he confirmed I am in congestive heart failure and increased my Lasix. I have an appointment with a Cardiovascular Dr. next month.

He also diagnosed me with chronic fatigue syndrome as it goes along with my EBV diagnosis....which 45% of all MS patients also have EBV. He gave me a B-12 shot and suggested I start taking 1000mgs of Lysine each day....he has EBV and it helps him.

Also, discovered some liver spots under my belly. Never had any before. For years now Drs have been trying to find liver disease because of symptoms and enlargement of liver. They still think I have billiary disease...but it is not showing up in lab work.

He also said both my eyes were weeping pus but I had appointment with eye Dr on Fri. for eye exam.

I saw the eye Dr on Frid and he could not do eye exam because of staph infection in both eyes so he gave me steriod/antibiotics drops and I go back Wed.

And, my sluggish MS colon is not playing nice!

Getting settled into new apartment and resting.

Chris, I pray you family stays safe.

Margie:grouphug:

Judy2 08-19-2007 07:05 PM

Hi Everyone! Haven't checked in here in quite awhile. Must be one of my new meds, but the fatigue has been awful. Every time I get on here, or sit down to read, watch TV, etc., I end up falling asleep. :(

Yesterday was pretty good though. The weather was great, if not windy. Cooler with no humidity but the sun was shining. Also my son was here to stain my deck. It was nice for a change just to have him all to myself without all the little ones running around seeking attention -- not that I don't love them to pieces!

What a difference a day makes. Today has been simply terrible. It looks like it could rain at any minute, but so far hasn't -- the grass is as brown as ever. My pain level is through the roof and nothing seems to help. The builder was here last week to widen my bathroom door so now I can get in with my powerchair, so am going to take a nice warm shower before bed. Maybe that will help......PLEASE!!!

See you all later! Take care.

AfterMyNap 08-19-2007 07:44 PM

Margie! Holy cow! how much excitement does one girl need!?! I feel for ya, girl, that is one horrendous list.:( Hang in there and let us know how you're doing whenever you're up to it, okay?

Judy, yippee on the new doorway! One more way to make your life better; enjoy that shower and your comfortable, safe exit from the bathroom.:)

dorrie 08-19-2007 08:27 PM

Hi All! Sorry I did not post earlier. You may have read my other posts but I had a good day today! I have a friend named Lee-anne. We are in a 12 step programme together and I am her sponser. She has had a hard time with the programme but this year, in Jan. she approached me and asked if I would sponser her. I was not sure if I should or rather if I could help her...she had a few other sponsers and the had no luck. I decided to say yes and started to help her. We had a bumpy road for a while but she and I must have clicked. She has been sober for 8 months. That is a miracle for this young lady! During this time she discovered she ws expecting a baby. We had discussed having this baby in sobriety and how truly wonderful that would be. She has put forth a tremendous amount of genuine effort to make the neccessary changes in her life. She has not went near a drug or booze at all. She appears to have lost the desire to drink and appears to have gained interest in having a good, sober and stable life. The change in this girl is dramatic and I am just so proud of her. A while ago lee-anne asked me to be the Godmother of her child and requested that I be present for the birth of her baby. She also asked me to cut the cord!!! Today, she delivered a 5lb 15oz baby boy!!! His name is Brice... He is beautiful, and I cut the umbillical cord!!! Childbirth is amazing! Even though things have been tough lately, my mood is cheerful because today I am!!!!:grouphug:
