I didnt realize it was Elavil until last night when I was Googling it. I thought it was just a sleeping pill and not an antidepressant.

Why do they keep giving me antidepressants to sleep (trazodone, amitriptyline) I'm not depressed!!


edited to add so I dont have a bunch of messages one after the other here:

I just called the pharmacist. He told me I need to taper off on this stuff. Dang! I was just going to quit, but then I thought that since it's an antidepressant, that I might not be able to just up and quit it.

I hope my doctor has something that will help the insomnia that's not going to make me nuts!
