oh, my leetle Yabbit babygirl!

you needn't fear, I've had stuff last for months and still resolve itself, and go away.

I've gotten back almost ALL the use of my right hand and arm, from when it just dangled there, like a sack of rags.

it's still pretty numb, and feels like I'm wearing a glove, but all the tendons and muscles function, and my hand accepts "messages" as to which letters to type, and using pens and clothespins and such.

and if it doesn't go away, well, at least the vibrating thang is not painful or debilitating, just another adjustment to the new normal, and another annoying thing to screen out of your daily consciousness, so you can get through the day with a smile, and your head held high.

I have discovered, (from the 20-year standpoint), that with a good attitude, and good support, I can make it through just about everything the MS throws at me.

and you can too, I promise!

I'm with Cayo on this one.

2+ years of a headache (well, now I know it was sensory MS pain) that would not 'break'.

Finally it did, and I went headache free for several months.

Now I found medication to 'control' these types of outbreaks of pain.

Don't worry about the permanent hun

ITA with Cayo and the Dimpled One. I had the vibration for months in various parts of my body in 2003. It's intermittent now for me. I can go for months without it. Sometimes I miss it--it was like having an internal TENS--but then I remember how annoying it was in certain parts of my anatomy (like the butt because of the non-discrimination of vibrate cellphone calls).

Don't stress it. If it's there, it's there--sorta like fatigue. You know you have it but you can live with it. If it's there and it goes away--BONUS!

Plus, just think about how entertaining you can be at times. I was able to annoy my teenage son for months by asking him if the floor was moving. After a few weeks, he'd just sigh, roll his eyes, and say, "No Mommy, it's just you." Poor kid...... no wonder he's so warped now.

Hang in there Yabbit! Think of yourself as 007 with a martini---vibrated, not stirred.

after a day of vibrations in my lower back, right arm, right upper leg and face all the encouragement I can get is greatful!

Gaz the tens unit on my back is a great way to explain it. My ex used to wear one and now I get it for free!

You know, I am glad to hear your feeling better Char but I have to tell you I stayed away from this thread for good reason. Now, I remember why...

Talking about vibrations, units, vibrating pagers in the pants and such things to an outsider is kind of funny, yet, somehow strangely provocative. lol

I do hope you get relief. Jim's legs vibrate all the time. He's become used to it.

Char, this stuff with MS can come and go at any time. My right hand has been numb for almost a year now. I asked the Neuro today if he thought it would be permanent and he said "who knows....with MS it's all flavor of the day".

My legs were both numb for two months. This was before I knew I had MS. They would buzz and zap and zing. I thought I had a pinched nerve. The sensation went away before I could go to enough doctors to get a dx so I just assumed it was a nerve thing. Funny....it was, just not the kind of nerve thing I thought it was.

I've gotten so accustomed to all the weird stuff with MS that I don't get too whipped up about any of it. Everything seems to resolve itself, however s-l-o-w-l-y it may be. But while it's happening to you I know it's troublesome. Especially not to know when it's going to stop. Hang in there.....

ROFL

I NEVER said I was a good girl. And believe me, I have a VERY evil mind.... I got trained to think that way by 165 "dads" on the police force when my mom worked for them when I was an impressionable teenager.
