Hi
I've had trigger point injections in my scapular area for pain from my spine and surgeries there. The PM used cortisone. She sprayed the area with something REALLy cold, I don't know the name, and then did the injections. They did help, relief lasted about 6 months. When she was finished, she applied an ice pack for about 10 min, then a Lidoderm patch, and sent me on my way.

But I am diabetic also, and the cortisone shot my #s up, and made me sick. I don't want to do that again, so I have had Botox injections in the same area. Again, the relief lasts about 6 months. My side effect from the Botox is my nose starts running before I get out of the office, like I'm catching a cold.

I might be weird, but if I had the chance for SCS, I jump for it (at least as fast as this creaky body would let me)
