Lucyloo, I just wear it until my foot starts burning and then take it off. I wake up from the burning sensation and the only way to stop it is to remove the splint. Even then, my foot continues to burn, but it lets up enough so that I can try to go to sleep. Otherwise, I just get up. Any time in the splint is time well spent, at least for me.
