Default Feet always burning simultaneously.

When my feet begin burning it tends to be very much the same in both feet. The symptoms also tend to subside at the same time. Anything I can deduce from this? (I put biofreeze on just 1 foot as an experiment and that lower leg is obviously reacting more, even in places it didn't apply it)

Would it indicate a problem further up the nerve chain? Back? Brain? Is it just a coincidence? Is it even worth speculating?

My feet are also sensitive to pressure so standing, walking, rubbing tends to induce the pain more, so I try and stay off my feet and barefoot as often as possible. Hard to be productive that way, and it makes going to work a miserable experience.

I would think first off, that both feet equally suggests a systemic trigger. Foods, drugs, toxins, etc.

Doing an elimination diet excluding one food group at a time, may show you the way.

Also, MSG additive can cause lots of burning. Watching your food labels, and avoiding restaurants may be helpful.

Keeping a journal of your daily activities, and what you eat, can also help. For me it was the nightshade veggies...esp potatoes that did the burning. Secondly for me it was MSG in foods.
Lays now has chips with no additives or flavorings in them.
Simply Lays Tostitos is one.

Yesterday was kinda funny. I put the biofreeze on 1 foot, and for about 4 hours that whole lower leg was going crazy. Not really in a painful way, but it felt like I could feel the biofreeze feeling up to my calf even though I didn't apply it there.

I'm going to start a daily journal to better track my progress and triggers, thanks for the ideas. I know stress and exertion are ones, so I try and avoid that as much as possible. Oddly I don't really have a problem with ice or heat, so i can use those as tools when needed.

My feet burn simultaneously too. Same goes for the hands. And sometimes it's hands and feet all at the same time.

Default Burning feet

Do you notice whether or not the shoes or socks you wear might have any effect on this?

Ii go around here barefooted or in the sloppiest slippers you could imagine, because they don't bother my feet. Meanwhile, most of the pretty shoes I have are sitting there never to be worn again...

I have wondered about sensitivity to the materials in our shoes and socks.

mine are rarely simulataneously. Its usually just my left foot. When I have them in both legs its usually from taking something or eating something that has upset it. Are you on any medications that you could try not takin gfor a few days? I got bad reactions to all kinds of meds that they said aren't suppose to cause nuero problems. Bad reactions from cymbalta, any proton pump inhibitors, vitamins that had zinc in them, vitamins with b6 in them......

Perhaps Biofreeze is not for you. I cannot use it on my feet at all but I can use it on my calves, lower back, etc. It is for temporary relief from back aches, arthritis, etc. It is a cold therapy pain relief.

Biofreeze is not for numbing things. Don't expect a total loss of feeling using it.

It only blocks the heat sensing fibers, temporarily as it stimulates the cold sensing fibers, to have priority in getting to the spinal cord and brain. Menthol and camphor work on itch and pain by only working on some of the afferent fibers in the body.

This is a link explaining the various nerve types in your body and feet. Some are highly myelinated (fast speed) and some only a little myelinated, slower speed, and the the unmyelinated ones that are the slowest:
