I agree on taking the methyl forms too. The only time you have to be concerned with the methyl form of B12 is if your body can't handle a lot of it. Then you need to pay more attention to dosing and maybe alternate with other bio-active forms of B12. They explain all that on the website too.

At some point, I would be sure to add in a good B-complex. You need the other B vitamins as well.

I referenced Linus Paul. They recommend Fad, (B2) with metafolin. I have been using regular B2 for a while but haven't noticed a difference. They say deficiencies can cause burning hands and feet which I have bouts with. It would be amazing if the combination can help with the burning.

I was going to add a slow release niacin next.

I have been taking 10,000 units of methyl B12 daily to catch up. I thought it was water soluble and any extra would just flush through. Is that wrong?

I read about the other b12 you referred to and will have that on hand too.
Thank you

Good luck with your plan. Just remember that niacin is used to calm anyone who over methylates so if you are a solid under methylating person, niacin could gobble up the methyl groups supplied by the B12. So be sure to start at low dose to see how you react.

And yes, B12 is water soluble. Most of what you take is not absorbed that's why the higher doses.
