Gee, terminating a conversation and waiting 3 weeks to call someone back who is suicidal is not being very supportive. Maybe he would be different if you were actually living there, but I don't know. I guess this could be because he is very old though...

Let me ask you this. If you go on to California, is there anyone there who can help you if you need help? And, are you in good enough condition to be able to take care of yourself, in the event you need to get to the doctor or get somewhere for treatment on your own?

Must say this..........I feel so sorry for you with the cold. I live in Texas but will tell you that the slightest bit of cold really, seriously, almost kills me. I cry because I can't take it. Even in our office with the thermo on 70....it is still too cold for me (and too hot for them). I am EXTREMELY cold sensitive as it causes excruciating pain. I say you are going to have to get warmer if you can.

Thanks. I'm not sure how I'm affected because my symptoms are up and down so much. I do think in addition though unless its a huge fluke my pain level rises in the rain/huid or rain cold too. I'm in such a flare up now after times of progress. It has been raininh here for 4 days. I'm thinking of probably trying CA for a month. I do have support of therapy from before there and a few friends. Fl is so out from the humid/rain. It rains 135 days there. Maybe in Ca I can find better treatment then hear though I'm planning on goin to u of m to see there thoughts. I got the referal after the pain clinic at ohio to see there opinion. Has anyone been to ucla pm or any other place in CA? I'm waiting from my doc to see there thoughts on a place but am going to set up a maybe apt at ucla pc and the reumotolgist that no one has sent me to.Just not coping so well with this. I can't deside on places, treatment, and just the thought of it going back the way it was. Trying to cope better because I lost it yesterday and the day before. Thanks

Hey Daniella
I'm late coming to this thread but I wanted to share my experience with freezing feet. I live in Illinois and felt like I was walking on blocks of ice all last winter. I found the best thing was riding on my exercise bike about 30 minutes to get the circulation going. The effect lasts for about half the day. Of course, I don't know if your pain is too great for something like that. The other thing I did at night was soak my feet in a whirlpool footbath. That also helps. The main problem was walking outside and getting them chilled and then no way to warm up again at the office. Just some ideas for you.

Hi. Thank you for your reply. Well I can walk now up to 15 minutes but a bike there is no way cause my inner ankle and that movement. I'm in Ca not sure if I will stay. I feel confused on how the weather effects. I do have such random systoms. I will say I seem to ache in the cold and the snow and staying in is hard on the mental. Yet being away from my mom is so hard during this. Regardless its just for the winter but my coping is not good yet being at home in the cold doesn't make me comfortable. I so know what you mean about the blocks of ice. Once mine get cold they never warm like no circulation. My pain control docs are still finding the right treatment. I have a ? has anyone had to see a psychiatrist before a pain doc? At one I was suppose to see they were going to make me and I don't get why. I already know I have mental issues but my pain is seperate. Thanks again.
