I suspected that your feet must've been hurting something awful for you to be soo crabby. We all get snappy/snippy/nippy at times. I know I do!
And while new folks don't know, us oldies {?} know that you don't ignore the whole B-12 thing. What's happening? Are you breaking in a new pair of New Balance shoes? - j |

I don't eat red meats either. I don't think I eat much of anything that contains B12. I just naturally thought my B12 level would be higher than 3 yrs ago, since I take more B12 now.

j,
No, but I've been dealing with a phone co. problem (hold forever!! Took 2 days to resolve) and a customer service problem (real b1tch of a person too), and my home life is for $hit when it comes to them listening about anything I have to say. Every body else is bumped to the top of the 'interest list' before me (I start to talk and a separate conversation starts 'over' me, about a completely different issue - ignoring me talking at all).........and I'm not (was not) in too good of a mood. The only way I can get any attention as to how I feel is to slam the door upon arrival from work, and loudly exclaim "My feet !!". And put a scowl on my face. Then be silent ....for the next 1/2 hour or more. That seems to get attention, or at least they 'tiptoe' around me.

Oh Bob!!!! not to hijack this thread but I'll tell you something that will really make you comiserate with dealing with customer service people. (and it belongs on this thread because it's about a purchase of Methyl B-12 from IHERB!!!
Last week, I went to iherb to buy my bottle of Methyl B-12. The total cost was $18.66. I took Alan's bank card (the one we use for internet purchases). I charged the $18.66 and it went through. no problemo!!! So I told him "I bought Methyl B-12 from Iherb" and I used your bank card. He said "you can't use that, there's only $5.00 in the account, I was going to put some more money so you can buy your vitamins". I said 'Well, it went through so maybe they have a grace period, or something like that???" The next day he goes to the bank to put in $20 to cover the $18.66. They tell him they charged him $32.00 fee because we charged $18.66 when we had $5.00 in the bank. YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT KIND OF SCENE MY MILD MANNERD HUBBIE CAUSED. He came home all in a dither. He said "do you know what that bank did??, they charged me $32.00 in a fee because we only had $5.00 in the bank". I said "they can do that??" He asked to speak to a supervisor. Initially he said "why did you accept the transaction if we had only $5.00 in this account". She said "well, it's a visa and the vendor didn't know you only had $5.00 int he account, so it went through, but WE CAN CHARGE YOU $32.00 FOR DOING THAT" Alan then said "well, can you please do something called a COURTESY, and wave this fee?? (of course they can do that, they have the ability to do that). She said "We don't do courtesies". WELL,....he called them all Illuminaties, criminals, he went nuts. He said "Mel, I lost it, do you know what your iherb thing cost us?"" Add up $18.66 and $32.00 and that's what my little bottle of Methyl B-12 cost me. Good Lord. We are closing the account in that bank. We will never deal with them again!!!

Mel,
Definately quit that bank. I work as a collector in a credit union and we waive fees all the time, banks are fee based, that where we all make the money, BUT!!a happy member is more important to us. If you were a habitual abuser it would make sense to deny returning the fee, but this one time thing, I would go to the bank manager and raise cane, they owe some kind of loyalty for your years of banking with them!!!!! Report the woman that was so flip with you, that is very unprofessional of her to come back with that stupid statement. GRRRRRRRRRRRR, makes my blood boil!!! |

Bob. Hugs I am sorry but can relate because I am in a similar boat and often feel unheard and frustrated on top of the pain. Wish I had more answers. Just hang in there.
Mel I love your stories but sorry about the fees. That is frustrating. I have had similar like when I moved and forgot to give the bank the new address they added like 20 bucks that month. It seems like customer service in all aspects have went down hill. First you spend a long time on hold going through the computer telephone crap to get to a human who is rude. I hate when I am called mam in that tone. |

I am curious about your comment that the MMA test is the one that tells if the B12 is floating around or being stored. On 4-3 I had 10 tests: B12 810; MMA .21 -- there were no ranges given in the report I received. Mostly importantly tested positive for Intinsic Value Antibodies so I now know I have pernicious anemia. Do those numbers tell you anything? May not remember but I started at B12 reading of 68 on 1/31; one shot, 6 weeks later and taking 1000mg of methylB12, reading was an astonishing 1,075. Had third test on April 3rd and B12 was 810. Since then I have increased my methylB12 to 3-4,000 because of an awful relaspe of symptoms. Sorry, I'm long-winded. Does the MMA number mean anything I should know??? You are the greatest! Fondly, |
