Default neck biopsy

Hi All,
In my previous post, i am concerned about having neck RSD resulted from an auto accident. My neck MRI revealed some cysts and nodules in my thyroid and my doctor suggested biopsy for two big nodules to rule out cancer. The biopsy involve 3 tiny needle sticks on each side of my neck. I am worried about this procedure that may caused additional flare or spread in my neck. Have someone done this procedure in the past? What was your experience and did it cause your RSD flare or spread? Is there any thing i can do or ask the doc to do to prevent the RSD flare or spread? I am so afraid to even consider this procedure as my RSD tend to spread easily. However, on the other hand, should i risk ignoring it and just have the cancer grow if it is cancer so that i can die and not having to deal with RSD anymore.
I would like to hear your thoughts on this and thanks for reading my post..
