So this RSD/CRPS is a new diagnosis for me and I'm trying to learn everything I can. I am making some 'modifications' to allow for more mobility/independence. One of my problems is I think I am pushing too hard. It may be that I haven't been as mobile for the past week or so & in being more mobile the past 2 days, my muscles are freaking out. I need some suggestions...
Spasms. Ugh. The spasms. I have this little muscle in the arch of my foot that is constantly spasming/twitching. Is there a trick to get it to stop? I also need some suggestions on cleaning floors. Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping. I tried but I cannot seem to do any of these tasks. Is there a particular vacuum that is super easy/light that is good on tile floors too? I have a shark steam mop, but it broke in the move & I'm not sure that would be the best option. Does anyone have a roomba &/or a scooba? |

Pace yourself you push too hard and you'll make it permanently worse. Don't know if you can get them over there but we got Vax Mach Air which I can use one handed still need to take a break halfway through the room. Also got steam mop but again need a break

Thank you! It looks like the only place I can find it is on eBay.
Looking more into a robot vac since the standing/walking is my biggest problem. I go to the ortho tomorrow to evaluate if there is a 'new' knee injury. Next up is neuro to evaluate nerve entrapment/palsy. Hopefully my PCP will refer me to PM soon. |

I have a Roomba and it works really wells. I can't use use a vacuum in large part due to the vibration. I also use a large floor size lint roller on the carpet for quick pickups as well.

Your doc might be able to find a prescription that helps reduces spasms. My come and go, and are unpredictable. |

I don't have them from the CRPS, but I've found medications like Flexeral (sp?) helpful in the past. Is ask your PCP for suggestions. They are usually well tolerated and not very expensive. Hope you find relief and a diagnosis soon!

I meant to mention - make sure to rest. My orthopedist, a leading leading expert on CRPS, says restorative sleep is the most important thing for recovery. Please listen to your body and rest when your body needs it. Cleaning can wait - your health can't. I wish I had done that early on.
