My d level only went up to 30 after taking the prescribed oral D2. I bought a sublingual D3 with K2 which brought me up to 50. This number actually surprised me, because I did not take the supplement daily plus there was a period of months when I had not taken it. IMO a sublingual gets absorbed better.

I don't know if it is common or not, but it does seem that people who have health conditions often have low vitamin d levels.

Low Vitamin D levels are common even in a healthy populations, especially in women. They are even more common in chronic pain and neurological problems, cause or effect? Could be both. Getting the level tested should be standard for pain or nerve conditions. Thankfully my neuro checked mine, despite my protests that I take a multivitamin and as an outdoorsy Texan get sunshine most every day. Yep, it was low.

thanks biobased. i was also not told to take K2 with my D3. i am glad you told me. maybe that's why its taking so long to get my vit D level up to a normal range. thanks again.
p.s. do you happen to know how much K2 is good to take with 5000 IU of vit D on a daily basis? thanks again. take care.

You might want to ask why you were told not take k2 with D3.

This is the product I took, which has 90mcus of K2.
