Make them put you on Depo or something like it to try to stabilize you until you can have your procedure! You shouldn't be having periods that are that long- it can be dangerous! My mom started having out of control periods and she had several DNC's to try to eliminate them. They didn't work- the fibroids kept coming back and she eventually had to have a hysterectomy. (Her last fibroid was the size of a football- it couldn't be removed safely.) But they put her on birth control to try to reduce the size of the fibroids and reduce the bleeding during her periods. When you say burn or freeze the uterus, do you mean the whole thing, or just the internal lining to eliminate fibroids?

I have sent in many request to them to allow this. It's just really causing a lot of pain in my RSD arms from the swelling of the body from the cycle, and when it lasts for weeks, instead of days, it's really annoying.
