I just can't express how very blessed I feel right now to be out of pain! Happily buzzing now with my trial Medtronic SCS. The ONLY pain I now feel is the slight soreness from where the leads are placed but the pain I had felt from the Neuroma and CRPS 2 is very much masked. YIPPEE YAHOO.. I feel like jumping up and down for JOY!
Thanks to all; for your stories allowed me to make my decision going forward with this trial. Tessa “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” Deuteronomy 31:6 |

Now, for something not covered in that Private Message, but needful just now that I read your forum post about "jumping up and down." DON'T! Feel the temptation, experience the joy, and revel in the relief. Remember BLAST. Jumping definitely involves Stretching, the S of BLAST, so no Bending, Lifting Stretching, Twisting.....seriously. OK? Now, lay on your side if that works, put a pillow between your knees and slip off to slumber safely.... then tomorrow after arising, relax knowing it will be OK to recline gently against fluffy pillows for ease while you enjoy. Then as the week progresses, walk and such carefully to see how the "test drive" of your SCS fits your needs. Prayin all will be well for sure, Yup ![]() |

Wow.. I am just amazed at how this technology pleasantly masks the pain!
On day 1 most of the pain where the leads placed settled so I was able to do some home PT. I carefully situated myself on my recumbent bike and peddled happily for 2 - 30 min sessions with very low tension... ahhh it felt good to get my legs moving! I did have to turn the stim up a little while on the bike but, so happy that in doing so I was able to complete my session with a smile. Day 2 was even better. My husband and I went on a little trail hike together. The fresh air and lush forest made for a spectacular day. Without the SCS I wouldn't have been able to do this!! We walked the trail for about 2.25 miles and afterwards the tears that rolled down my face were out of pure joy!! I slept last night for 3 hours straight YIPPEE YAHOO! God bless each and every one of you! Tessa |

Oh YES I do feel blessed indeed - God is good! Another great day of blissful buzzing. Now I am trying to figure out how to get this swelling to recede; anyone out there have any ideas regarding that? Rejoice! Tessa |

Hey there, in case I did not mention boating as a something one can do to get OUT, enjoy the OUT, mostly NOT hurt the back by throwing it OUT, and not doing goofy things which might rip the stim cabling OUT...... boating is a good thing, and your kiddos are likely to enjoy it as well.
We even went today, and it was good being out again with an overcast sky, tempers of other boaters were in check, the company was good [friends] AND we were able to share a picnic together. There were no falls, no injuries, no tough stuff today. A good one indeed. Yup, ![]() |

![]() Whooopsies.. I had an allergy sneak sneeze attack yesterday and after it passed I realize that my SCS had lost its programming on my favorite setting.. ugh. Maybe one of you know if with only 3 days left in my trial if it is worth seeing if it can be adjusted? The other program is okay, its just that the area of stim isn't as precise as the group I lost. Any thoughts? Darn allergies.. May today bring you a special blessing, Tessa |
