Hello everyone.......hope ya'll have fun plans for the holiday weekend. Me? Nothing special. Just the usual. It's getting warm here again so I'll be inside.

My allergies have been giving me such a hard time lately. I've had a dull headache for the past several days. I know it's my sinuses as even my teeth hurt! Zyrtec makes me so sleepy, Claritin does nothing for me. Benedryl makes me sleepy, too, but wears off quicker than the Zyrtec does so I've been taking that.

Twenty days till Fall begins! 9/22 is the day! I'll be so glad for Summer to be over with. Seems like it gets hotter with each passing year.

I break the Zyrtec in half and take it at bedtime so I don't get as sleepy during the day. Have you tried that yet?

Ok, I'm slightly calmer today. I went for a walk this morning to the bank to pay the property taxes and I'm going to start working on my to-do list again today. I just need to chill out a bit, lol. The sky isn't falling after all.

actually - I enjoy the online classes - I can take time when answering questions ... I have a thought .. and then POOF! it's gone .. and I have to sit and think .. and then sit somemore!! LOL but, usually - I get it back!!

I love the fall .. and the smell of wet leaves ... I had a dream last night that all the trees were naked already!! don't ask me what I was thinking about! LOL

Wiz - Glad you were a little calmer yesterday. Things always have a way of working out given some time.

Vonn - I miss fall! We don't have that here. Well, we do have some leaves falling but we don't have the beautiful colors, the falling of leaves, etc. As kids, we would search for that perfectly colored fully intact maple leave. It was like a contest. I miss it.

Barb - Yikes! What do they mean by contrary? That is a scary thought, huh. I hope they can get it fixed soon.

Morning all Feeling a bit better this morn and trying my best not to be crazy busy since I know I'm still not 100%. Took some theraflu yesterday, and that took care of the fever I was sporting.

We had some sad news for the area this morn. Our first case of a death associated with Swine flu. A pregnant mother got it really bad. They had to do an emergancy c-section to save her child, but the mother didn't make it. The baby appears to have no sign of the flu, so that's good. The mother was only in her 20s and this would've been her first. Praying hard for her family.

Well, swine flu has hit the campus already. They are not saying how many cases. We have antibacterial stations set up everywhere. My sister told me that they sent home a note from Anya's school a few days ago that a 1st grader had to be sent home and that she is a confirmed case. The parents sent her to school with a 101 degree temperature and the child's teacher is pregnant. Some people are just stupid!

I haven't heard anything else about my computer. The computer "dudes" athat are working on it have a reputation of being good but really laid back. Plus, they only speak computer. Hopefully, I will get it back eventually.

working on finishing a quilt a day (a lot of tops done - now just to tie and bind the fleece on) ...

my weekend entails: quilting - homework - road trip to Madison on Monday (fabric store) ... well, there's a sale!!

Morning all. I'll be raking some more rock today. We got the backyard done so it's on to the sides. It doesn't look like much rock until you start raking. I know in the end I'll be happy it's done but mercy me, it's a lot of work!

Hey Vonn, good to see you here! I read your quilting posts and I keep eyeballing the unfinished one in my closet... it is an old fashioned crazy quilt. My Great Aunt Ola gave me the top she pieced together in 1977. In 1988 my mother in law helped me stretch it and we put batting and a backing on it. I was suppose to use a portable quilting frame and do the final stitches and closing. Here it is 2009 and it still isn't done! I'm thinking of just doing the tied yarn thing and just machine stitching on some wide binding tape to finish the edges. Most of the fabrics in the quilt are from the 1970s so it really has some wild psychodelic patterns ...truly a crazy quilt.

Maybe I'll get inspired this winter!
