Barb, thanks for wondering, I am ok. Just been so busy between work, and kids, and just life. Trying to find a way to balance stuff in life... as work clogs my mind too much... well going to take a nap.. I bowled last night on a league.. and took maddie for a way long walk... now back, feet, toes spasms galore..ugggg hugss all, sarah

My aunt is fine. We haven't talked to her yet but they are doing Ok despite the floods. Thanks everyone!

Hi Sarah! Thanks for taking time to check in. I know things are really hectic for you right now. How's hubby doing? I know it must be hard on him. Still wish he could have your job and you can be home.

I'm sitting here on my couch wondering what the he!! just happened today. I got great news this afternoon; a little cafe in town wants me to do artwork for them to be displayed in December - 18 paintings - 16 x 24. Then within 15 minutes I found out that my dad's cancer is aggressive. I don't have the full story yet as he got another call on his cell phone that he had to take. I went from being really excited to sad and feeling guilty about my good news. The news for me doesn't matter anymore.

Please keep my dad and mom in your prayers. My dad sounded so lost on the phone today - kept saying they had decisions to make and quickly and that they wanted me to come over to discuss my situation. Guess I will be going over for coffee tomorrow morning and assuring them I am fine and will be fine and I should be the LEAST of their worries right now.

OK, just rambling and venting here.

Tricia, I am so sorry about your dad. I am sure he would be happy to hear your news. So you should share it with him when you feel the time is right. I will keep your family in my prayers.

Thanks, Barb. I did share the news with him after we talked about his appt and such. I wasn't going to but I realized in that brief conversation that they really worry about what is going to happen to me. So I felt I needed to say something to ease the worry a bit. Sheesh, they raised us kids to be fighters and survivors. You would think . . .LOL j/k

BTW - Flipping back to good news now . . .DD18 just surprised me with a quick visit with one of her dorm mates. She needed to pick up some dancewear for a performance for her old HS homecoming. What a day it has been, flipping from good news to bad news - it's been like this all day. I hope tomorrow is more balanced. I like balanced.

Well I'm sitting here sipping my morning cup of coffee trying to wake up. Trying to do the best I can without being dragged down by the tide. Made the decision yesterday to stop being moaning myrtle and get on with stuff. Of course, at my own turtle pace.

Found out that the Rheumy they want me to see is one popular guy. They couldn't get me in until late November. Talked to my doc, and he stressed that this guy was the best and with all the auto immune diseases in my family history (and now my own) this guy would be able to help me the most.

So called the Rheumy's office yesterday to double check. Yes, earliest appointment they had. Yes, they can put me on the call list if they have an unexpected opening. The scheduling lady was very nice though, so that was a good sign.

I have a somewhat busy day today. I have to get over to my parents either early this morning or after my dr appt. Depending on time and how it goes with my parents, I may be going out to DBF's today and working in his neighbors studio. Some of my pieces are done being fired, others need some work so that they can be fired, and some I need to make. I am trying to get a set of plates done for DBF for his b-day (October).

I also need to somehow, someway get some canvas boards so that I can prep them and start painting. I figured it out last night and I need to get about 2 to 3 paintings done a week. That way they will be ready by the end of November.

Oh and I have 2 essays to complete and lots of reading to do.

I think I just overwhelmed myself typing all of that. LOL

me.... Well, my ds had a much better day yesterday. This morning went a
little better with fewer tears too. Yay!

We had a good first girl scout meeting, I know all the girls quite well, except
for 1. There are 14. Its nice having 4 of us leaders as we have a nice
adult/child ratio.

Following our meeting, we attended Open House at our wonderful elementary
school. We are blessed, as it is a wonderful school with a great staff!

Not too much on the agenda today, I am beat! Some housework and
an eye appt. for the littlest one.

Morning all. Today is an off day, nothing to do! Whoohoo! Ok, a few things around the house but we don't have to go out! lol
