I've noticed being off of copax now for almost a week - I'm really fatigued ... and nauseated ... and don't feel like eating ... so, I'm not fun to be around

got into doing some lettering on a 2ft x 4ft board for a friend's quiltshop - I had the board and needed to do something with it ... this is a surprise - trying to finish it now over the weekend ... then bring it up to her on Tuesday! I will have to clear-coat it when I bring it to her - I have no room here to do it ...

hope you all have a great weekend - would love to go to check out the fleas with you & Jim, Sandy! I miss going ... haven't tested myself as to how long I could walk around .. and then picking up treasures!! have fun!!

Good afternoon everybody!

I slept until noon today! I guess I was really tired! I'd been trying to wean off my Trazodone and had cut them into quarters (had been taking a half of one per night) so I guess I really needed a good night's sleep.

I'm going to ease up on the job search a bit, only apply for maybe one or two a week and not worry about it.

I started a thread in the MS forum saying that I'm thinking about applying for SSDI. I've been applying for jobs for three months and it's wearing me out. I'm 51 years old and I know it's a factor when people look at my application. I honestly don't know if I could handle full time work anymore. I don't know if I'm fast enough to do a good job on the civil service exam for math which is what I need to take at NIU for the jobs I quality for.

Fatigue is my downfall. I take pills to keep me awake and they upset my stomach and give me headaches and increase my need for sleep aids that make me groggy in the morning unless I sleep 10-11 hours. Then if I have an active day or two I have to recover.

I'm going to talk to my neuro about it and see what he thinks when I see him next Friday. I'll also talk to my new PCP about it on Monday when I go for my checkup.

You never know, a job might appear and work out for me though but I'll try not to stress about it because that doesn't help anyway.

Have a good weekend everybody. To all needing hugs and prayers, God bless and...

I slept late today. I was up early and went back to bed. Guess I needed the sleep.

It's very cloudy and humid here today. Looks like it could rain any second but it's still dry out. We definitely don't need anymore rain!

Wiz, I hope you can get the ball rolling on your SSDI. Fatigue is one of my major sx so I can sympathize with what you're feeling. There is no way I could keep the pace I used to when I worked. I wish I could....even if just for a day or two....but I know that's a distant memory for me. There is a plus side to not working, though. I've reduced my stress and slowed waaaay down for the first time in many years and I like it. Once you get all the red tape that accompanies applying for disability out of the way it's actually a relief to be able to just take a breath and not worry about having to be anywhere at any certain time.

I'm not doing much today. Maybe some laundry.

Well, I spoke too soon.....it's pouring rain here now.

Everyone have a nice weekend!

hey Wiz ... would you do me a super favor??? get a journal from the Dollar Store and keep track on your SSDI process ... when you call someone, when you fill out the paperwork, when you get a response ... etc etc etc ...

I pray that you have better luck than I have ... I didn't expect this to rip a hole in my heart on waiting ...

best to you!! HUGS!!

Good advice from Vonn. I kept a folder and put everything I got from SS in it. I also kept an online journal in a Word document. Everytime I'd call them or they'd call me I'd log it in. Turns out I never needed it but it's nice to know it's there. I was approved immediately.....guess I should have sent my Neuro a thank-you card because the lady I dealt with at SS said my records were very thorough. I did everything online and by phone. Good luck!

Sox, my body is no better, and recently I had one of the great Vertigo spell times, where hubby again had to pick me up... and my body is in pain most times. I try the exercise and walks as I enjoy... then I tend to do too much as I want to do what I have done in past... then I suffer for it....but I am doing as well as usual.... just try to hide it sometimes when it is bad....hugssss

TK, sorry about your daddy, trust me there are days lately where my dad is feeling weak or yucky all over.. and the first thing I think is, the cancer is creeping back... he is doing well, he golfs a lot now and since taking it easy with swing playing really good. I am trying to focus on time with mom and dad as I do not think I have too much time with dad either anymore.... hate to say that.. but sometimes reality sets in ....

it is already going to be a year since we lost Madeline, I want to thank any who read this of the support I got here when we lost her and thru her cancer.... you guys were so much a part of my support team... and want to thank you again!!

She would be 50 this week on the 30th... and she had passed Oct. 7th...

The kids are great growing fast, Tony just got drivers license and now driving officially AHHHHHHHHHHH Mikayla is 14 and started high school this year... Jasmine turns 10 next week. The little ones are 4 and half and 2 and half... growing like weeds...

oh wow, time to head to church... I am splitting my days off doing Sunday and Thursdays off for a change... see if instead of two in row... if split is better on body... and Sundays off I will more likely get to church sat nights or sundays and get our family back into it....

sorry for rambling.... hugsss and much love, sarah

Morning all! I am not sure we're going to the flea market. The Bears come on and well, you know how that is when you live with all males. haha Maybe another day.

Hope the day is going well for everyone.

I went to bed at 8:30 last night and got up at 8:30 this morning. Still sneezing, sniffling, and coughing but not as much. I am making some semi - homemade chicken noodle soup. I use boxed broth and packaged noodles. I may try some lemon pepper noodles that I have. But I cooked some chicken and I am adding spices. That makes it homemade -- doesn't it?

I also graded about 20 papers this morning/afternoon, and have prepared for my grad seminar tomorrow afternoon. Now I only have 40 more papers to grade from another class and I will be caught up.

Sandy, I always loved when football came on 'cos I knew they were all pretty much immobile for the length of the game! I could come and go as I pleased.....nobody ever even knew I was gone!!

One thing I did learn the hard way was this......2 minutes in "football time" really isn't 2 minutes. It's more like 45!

Barb, I count it as almost homemade when there's more than just opening a can involved. Feel better soon!

Sarah,

Wiz, got a lot of great advice.

Everyone,

~~~~~~
Got a lot more networking in during this show, but still didn't sell one. But had a good time, so that was the important part
Now off to recover from the busy weekend.
