Kelly, sorry you're feeling those "what ifs"... It's so hard when you see others pass those milestones...wish I could give you a real hug instead of a virtual one...

hey all ..

here is my latest update:

NO LUPUS .. NO Rheumatoid Arthritis ... that's the good news (sorta) ... what I may have is fibromyalgia on top of the MS (joint pain, etc) ... with no sort of med treatment that would benefit me ... back to square one ... OH, I have a fatty liver - LOL, whatever!!

I may have Sjogen's disease - which is also another auto-immune disease of why I have dry mouth and dry eyes (no tears) ... and can be related to the RA and liver issues ..

next wednesday - I will be having a biopsy done of my lip (I guess) to verify the Sjogen's ... and then on Nov 12th - a biopsy of my liver ...

good news :: the rheumy said he would write a letter to my lawyer - To Whom It May Concern ... regarding my liver issues and treatments ... although I'm still going for testing .. I said it would be nice to have a nice Christmas ... actually, I saw him as a real person, not just a doctor ... and felt bad because there really isn't anything he can do with my pain ... until after the liver biopsy ...

onward!! I'm okay - just in alot of pain .. flare ... part of life, right?? keep smiling!! you all are just so cute!!

OH .. forgot to add - the reason for the liver biopsy is to check for auto-immune hepatitis .. the fun never ends!! ta ta

Hi All! I am so far behind on the posts.

Debbie - I hope they find out what is going on. BTW - Are you taking steriods? Just curious as it sounds like me on steriods. I am keeping you in my prayers.

Vonn - Keeping you in my prayers as well.

Sandy - Sounds like a crazy day at your house. Oh wait . . CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW? LOL Hope the hearing test goes well.

Kelly - We all have doubts and it is perfectly normal for you to be feeling them right now. Hang in there.

Fin - Good luck with the book.

Hi everyone else! Thinking of you all as well.

Kelly,

Vonn, hope they can figure out the liver issue for ya!

Everyone,

~~~~~~
Trying to wake up. Dragging this morn, ugh!
Got a follow up with my eye doc this afternoon. Crossing fingers that the pressure went down, but need to tell him about the blue triangles in my vision since I stopped the steroid drops. fun, fun, fun.
Hope everyone's day goes ok today!
Wow, Sox, congratulations on the weight loss! Wish I could get rid of some of this extra weight. I just need to get motivated and it seems that I just can't.
It's a beautiful day here today. Bright and sunny. Wish I had something to do outside.
Better get moving or I'll sit here in front of this computer all day. I'm thinking that I'll make a pot of chili for supper tonight. It's getting to be that time of year for food like that.
Everybody have a good day today.
Good morning everyone!
(((Sox))) - I hope you start feeling better soon.
Kelly - Get a book, magazine, or whatever and just sit outside and read, think, or whatever comes to mind. I love it when the weather changes and you can actually be outside for more that 3 minutes. LOL. The mornings are that way here. Just beautiful. I have been going for walks, and then sitting outside with my cup of coffee, and enjoying just being able to come out of heat induced hibernation.
I have a busy day planned today. My dad's surgery is tomorrow so I want all my little projects done and taken care of. Over the next several weeks family will be coming and going (mainly my sisters - each taking a week or 2 to help out). Not that they are staying with me but my apt is about a mile from my parents and is an option for the times that visitors overlap and a place for any of them to go to just to get a way for a bit and just be.
I also want to go help my mom today as she is trying to get stuff done.
Have a good day everyone!
Hello everyone!! Beautiful fall day here...I have the windows open. Already took the old furbaby for a walk, and now trying to sort out ordering meds for the inlaws and myself...what a mess
Vonn... hope you feel way better soon...
T...hope your dad does well...
Sox...we're here for ya...hug:
Kelly...enjoy the day...chili in the south? Really?
Sandy...gotta love the cat...no matter how crazy...
Went to a lecture my neuro gave about oral meds and the research last night...my DH talked to his nurse about me sleeping at the wheel, and she told me to stop driving NOW...told me 1)it's now a legal issue, now that I've told her, 2)I could kill someone, 3)I'm too precious to those I love to put my life in danger. She ordered a new sleep study for next Wed. night for me. I'm still going to drive around town; but anywhere more than 20 min. away, and it's a no go. My DIL is driving me to the uro's this afternoon. I'll figure out how to handle next week when it comes.
The oral drugs scare me; many are immunosuppressants, which lowers your guard against diseases. So I'm not sure I'll partake if/when they are approved for market.
Oh well...hope all of you enjoy the day...better start making your gift lists...Christmas is just around the corner!!
I had to stop driving a couple of times because of possible seizure activity - MS related. While it was really, really hard to do I did it for the reasons you listed. 1) The legal part is scary. If you got in an accident just pulling out of your driveway and they found out that you were advised not to drive you could end up with a lawsuit, ticket, fines, etc. Financially, I could not afford to have this happen. 2 & 3) I don't want to have the fact that I hurt or killed someone because I was being stubborn and selfish. Someone loves that person just as much as those that love me.
Since there was a scheduling problem with my testing, I never got it done. My neuro told me I had to wait 3 months from the "event" with no more "events" during those 3 months. I waited my 3 months and then got behind the wheel. I did sneak in a couple of short drives. So far, I have not had another event. For me, I think it was the switch in generic Neurontin that caused the problems.
Stay safe, Debbie. I will keep you in my prayers.
