Hi everyone!
I've been a slug so far this morning and really need to get off my ask and do something. I have a few errands to run - store, bank, & library. I have 3 movies waiting to be picked up at the library. DBF and I have been watching the Deadwood series. We're almost done with season 1 and season 2 is ready and waiting for me at the library. The weather this morning is awesome. I have all the windows opened and it feels great. Of course it will only last a little longer and then it will start getting too hot. I hope you all have a great day!:grouphug: |
Hello! :)
Tricia, what's The Deadwood series about? I should go to the library sometime...it's been a while since I've been. Not having a car at my disposal all the time is sometimes irritating like today - it's so beautiful and would be a perfect day to do things like go to the library. Just get out and enjoy the weather. Guess I could do that here...... We're having another beautiful day here. It's supposed to warm up to the low 80's this weekend but the mornings are still going to be cool. I just love this time of year. :heartthrob: I hope everyone has a good day. :grouphug: |
Still nauseated. I had an appointment with my pcp's nurse practitioner a little while ago. She gave me a 5 day prescription for zofran (anti nausea med that cancer patients take)and told me to take a zantac at night in addition to my nexium in the morning. They also took 3 vials of blood. It could be an infection, the tizantidine, my irritable bowel, ulcers, ... If I don't hear from her, I am suppose to see her again in two weeks and to call if I get worse.
|
Gosh Barb. This is going on too long. I hope the meds help. They'll probably make you sleepy. Nausea is one of the worst feelings......I hope you feel better soon.
|
Barb, I agree. That's way too long for the tummy to be out of whack. Hope the meds help and the bloodwork points them to what's going on.:hug:
Trish, glad you're enjoying a beautiful day. :) Debbie, Sorry to hear about all the stuff going on. Praying.:hug: Sandy, sorry to hear Jim's temp is fluctuating so much. Hope all is well.:hug: Pam, crossing fingers for DH Wiz, espanol was not my subject. Probably because I'm a math geek, LOL! Hope things are going well. Everyone, :grouphug::grouphug: ~~~~~~~ Didn't get the greatest news from the vet. :( Kitty is still not eating on own, and some of the levels are still high. She is more responsive (cussing at them in kitty speak actually, lol), but it's an unknown on whether or not this treatment is gonna really work. They've had to give her some antibiotics to see if it will help her eat. We've got some decisions to make here soon that I'd rather not have, but if she's still not eating -- she's trying to tell us something. :( |
Aw, Fin.....I'm so sorry. I really hope and pray that she responds to the treatment. But I know how hard it is to know they're suffering. It's a decision I dread, too. :(

fin....aww, big hugs to you!
barb...I hope you are feeling better real soon! deb... kel and tricia...It looks like a beautiful day here today too...we have had so much rain lately, we deserve a nice stretch of weather. sandy...feel better jim:hug: pam...good luck to you! I hope he interviews well! wiz...I loved taking spanish...cant really remember a thing though.:o holly, sarah, moo, weav....have a great Thursday! I am off to school, we are doing a surprise project with the second graders..its even a surprise to me! I am sure it will be fun. Big hugs to all!:grouphug: |
Morning, all...gosh, another beautiful day...loooovve autumn...
Fin:hug: I sure hope your baby gets better...the downside to loving our pets is when we have to make that sad decision... Just talked to my sis...haven't had (or taken) the opportunity to call the last few days...she's home, but very tired cause she's depressed...she feels hopeless that things will never improve. I gave her a pep talk, and by the time we were finished she wasn't crying. I have to make a point of tryiing to call every day...I just have to make sure that I protect myself from getting dragged down emotionally from it and not get sucked into it. I need to get out and mow the lawn...have a therapy appt this afternoon, then try to clean up a bit around here. So I'm off to mow...have a great afternoon, all!!:) |
Debbie, glad you helped your sis out with the talk. Praying.
Sox, have fun with the surprise project.:) Everyone, :grouphug::grouphug: ~~~~~ Understatement of the year -- this really sucks! Fur baby has been having seizures and her temp dropped. She's also starting to get fluid in her lungs. Going for a visit here soon, and hubby wants to also see her after the work day is over. I think it's time. Treatments are not working :( :( |
Oh Jen! That is sad. Hang in there!
Sandy - Hope Jim is feeling better today. Barb - Sorry you are still nauseated. Do you think it is just the MS? I know we both deal with the hug on a daily basis but for me it sometimes causes nausea. Could that be the case with you as well? Nothing seems to work for me other than maybe taking an extra Neurontin. That seems to settle the nerve endings down. Then I can eat again. Hope you feel better soon. Kelly - Deadwood is a series about Deadwood, South Dakota. The creator/writer based many of the characters on real people. It takes place during the gold rush (1876 - give or take) in the Black Hills. Although, I have to say, it full of foul language as well as sexual content due to the "saloon activities." DBF and I decided it's like the Sopranos but in the 1800s. lol The characters are pretty rough, which was probably pretty accurate to the times as every con artist, crook, and criminal made their way out west during the gold rush. The history is what I like about it and there are some humorous parts. Hi everyone else! Glad to hear so many of us are enjoying the cooler weather. What a relief it is. Trying to get all my chores done today. Had to bring my car in earlier this morning as my check engine light came on. I ran it through the 3 drive cycles, it went off for a couple of days, and then came back on. Hoping and praying it won't cost too much. So, now that I am "carless" for the day, I will get my chores done. |
