Debbie, I am just wondering if you are still using your cpap. I remember you were having similar problems with falling asleep in your car, etc., prior to your dx of sleep apnea. I know I have not been using mine much due to allergies and not being able to sleep on my side with it. I just a new mask yesterday (nose pillow version) so I will see if I can tolerate it.

Enjoy Wisconsin!

I am going to go up to our local outlet mall (about 30 miles from here) to look for christmas pj's for my niece and great niece and xmas shirts. then if I still have enough energy I am going to go to a a little town that is close by to look at a few craft stores and have lunch.

Hey all, Jim is still on the mend. He's actually hungry since we weened off the med. He's almost completely off it. His neuro wants him to stay at two a day but said we can throw in a baclofen if we feel the need. She really doesn't want him off completely but like I told her, Jim's appetite is better since weening so it's obvious the medication was making things worse. I also reprimanded her about how I have called her 6 times in the past two weeks and she swears she didn't get the messages. I do know it was out of character for her. At the same time, if she did forget, she shouldn't get onto those who took the messages. She even admitted to almost walking out last night and forgetting. She's about to retire so not sure if she is distracted or what. Anyway, she called and we are back on plan.

Mom is stoned or happy, not sure which one since we are not accustomed to her being this happy. We talked to her yesterday and she giggled the entire time about her and her roommate getting in trouble at rehab. I guess they laughed too much? LOL Anyway, like I told sis, I'd rather her be happy than mad so let's go with happy.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Happy sweetest day.

glad to hear Jim is getting better, you should share some of the funny stuff your mom has!

Hey everyone! Hope you all are out enjoying this beautiful weather. :D I was going to do some grading today, but it is just too nice. The students will just have to wait a few more days to get their papers back.

Where is everybody?

It's such a beautiful day here today. Very chilly this morning but warming up nicely. All three cats are basking in the midday sun by the window.

No big plans today. I've been surfing the web trying to decide on a wedding gift for my nephew. He's getting married on 11/5. Not sure if I will make it to the wedding as it's quite a distance from my house but if DS goes I'll ride with him.

I need to get busy out in the garage and clean it up and throw away a bunch of stuff that is beyond repair and not donatable any longer. DS has gone to the gym but when he gets back I'll snag him before he takes a shower (he's already sweaty...) and get him to help me.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. :grouphug:

We're here. We stayed in today. It was beautiful and I did get out to clean the pond. Yay! LOL Honestly, with the bees around here I can't enjoy this time of year. I hate that but it is what it is.

Hope everyone is taking it all in and enjoying.

Hi Everybody!

Thank God your mom is having giggles with her roommate Sandy. Maybe that's all she needs? Someone who is in a similar situation that she can relate to? Think of how we all comfort each other here?

Glad Jim's appetite is coming back. He needs to eat! Give that man some french fries and whole milk ice cream! :D :o

Debbie,

I hope you figure out what's causing the sleep issues. Please be extra careful while driving dear. Open the window and turn up the radio. Maybe turn on Rush Limbaugh. Your blood pressure will go up and keep you awake. :p

Everybody else.... hugs, prayers going out to each of you... :grouphug:

I'm tired. Worked the last three days and work the next three with spanish class on Mon and Tues night. I have a lot of homework to do and I'm tired! I feel guilty when the teacher asks me and I don't have it all done! :o

Wish me luck in getting it finished before tomorrow's class. :Dunno:

Checking in before the weekend is totally gone! We spent all afternoon at our neighborhood party. We get together once a year to just have fun. THis year they started a chili contest. Some good, some way too hot and some was just "why'd they bother"! :p

I also wanted to remind everyone to check your fire alarms this Fall. It's something you don't think about until it's too late. I lost an old friend and her spouse on Oct 3 to a house fire. It was an old house and they did not have an alarm. The smoke eventually woke them up, but they were overcome as they tried to get out.

take care everyone! :grouphug:

Morning all. I had a nice wake up call from Bergie barking and the doorbell ringing. It was the guy washing and staining my decks. He showed up at 8am and is now loudly power washing my back deck right by our bedroom. I guess I can't complain, at least he showed up right?

Hope everyone is doing well as they wake up to face the day.

wiz...good luck!

holly, sarah, tricia, weav, moo, jmiller fin, everyone have a great week!

me...Well, I am a bit pooped, spent the weekend bring my dad home and
getting him settled. I am amazed at how well he is doing. He had
his hip replaced and was walking the next day! just amazing.

This week will be crazy. I am having my dh's 50th birthday at a local
hall on Saturday...I think he invited a hundred people! I am only
doing appetizers and dessert so it wont be too bad. But with my daddy
in the hospital last week, I have done nothing to prepare. Gotta get
a move on it!

My ds7 is doing amazing on the meds...it is so great. I do believe he
has some of his joy back. His teacher, docs, his older brother who
was home last weekend and the rest of us are completed delighted
at the changes in him...Life is good.:D

Love, hugs and best wishes for a wonderful week for all!!!:grouphug:
